Job Role: Offshore Revit Drafter

Compensation range: $1,800 / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who The Client Is: Our client is an Australian residential construction company specialising in high-end custom homes across Queensland.

Their focus is on delivering homes that are considered, well detailed, and built to a high standard — where design, buildability, and execution all matter. They work closely with clients and design team to bring bespoke homes to life, with a strong emphasis on quality documentation and a smooth transition from design through to construction.

Their projects are individually designed, requiring attention to detail, problem-solving, and a solid understanding of how homes are actually built.

You will be working alongside a team that values clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement, and is actively building better systems and processes across the business.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Revit Drafter to support a residential construction team across concept, design development, and construction documentation stages.

This role requires strong experience in Queensland residential drafting, with the ability to produce accurate, buildable drawings in line with Australian standards and construction methods.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years experience, strong proficiency in Revit, and the ability to work within structured workflows while maintaining a high level of detail and consistency.

Key Responsibilities: 

Drafting & Documentation

• Prepare residential construction drawings using Revit
• Produce plans across all stages including:
• Concept plans
• Design development drawings
• Working / construction drawings
• Ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated, and buildable
• Apply drafting standards and templates consistently

Design Coordination

• Interpret architectural concepts and translate into working drawings
• Coordinate with estimating and construction teams
• Identify and flag design or documentation issues early
• Ensure drawings align with construction methods and requirements

Compliance & Standards

• Apply Queensland building requirements and standards
• Ensure drawings meet NCC and local authority requirements
• Incorporate planning controls, covenants, and overlays where required

Documentation Quality

• Maintain high level of detail and clarity in drawings
• Ensure consistency across all drawing sets
• Reduce errors and rework through strong attention to detail

Systems & Workflow

• Work within structured drafting workflows and stage gates
• Use and maintain Revit templates and documentation systems
• Adapt to custom software and integrated platforms
• Support continuous improvement of drafting systems

Requirements

Essential

• 3–5+ years experience in residential drafting
• Strong experience using Revit (non-negotiable)
• Proven experience working on Queensland residential projects
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
• Experience producing working / construction drawing sets
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred

• Experience working with Australian builders
• Experience with both custom homes and project / volume housing
• Experience with drafting checklists and QA processes
• Exposure to multi-stage drafting workflows
• Experience working remotely with offshore teams
• High level of accuracy and consistency
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Proactive in identifying issues or missing information
• Clear communicator (written and verbal)
• Able to follow structured processes while working independently
• Team-oriented mindset

• Revit (essential)
• Microsoft Excel (basic to intermediate)
• Project management platforms (e.g. ClickUp, Buildertrend or similar)
• Ability to work across multiple systems
