Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Colombia Time)

Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist to manage and procure medical records for a prominent U.S. personal injury law firm. You will ensure accurate, timely access to healthcare documentation, maintain HIPAA compliance, and organize records for efficient retrieval during litigation.

Key Responsibilities

Organize and maintain medical records ensuring easy retrieval, confidentiality, and compliance with legal standards.
Review records for completeness and accuracy against U.S. healthcare and legal regulations.
Enter and update patient information in EHR systems, handling both digital and physical files.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and legal teams to collect, clarify, and review medical data.
Ensure timely access to comprehensive patient records for all stakeholders.
Uphold strict confidentiality and compliance with U.S. legal requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or a related medical field.
Proven experience as a Medical Records Specialist or Health Information Technician in a U.S. law firm environment.
Mandatory proficiency in Filevine software.
Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare processes related to personal injury law.
Expertise in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
