AP World & US History Online Instructor - Remote Job

This is a remote position.

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable AP World History & US History Instructor who can deliver engaging, high-impact sessions and help students achieve top scores in AP exams.

This role is ideal for someone who can simplify complex historical concepts, connect them to real-world contexts, and inspire students to think critically.

Conduct live, interactive online sessions for AP World History & US History

Plan and deliver structured lesson plans aligned with AP curriculum

Simplify complex historical themes, timelines, and concepts

Train students in document-based questions (DBQs), LEQs, and MCQs

Provide exam strategies, answer-writing techniques, and time management skills

Evaluate student performance through assignments, mock tests, and feedback

Track student progress and ensure consistent academic improvement

Maintain high levels of student engagement and participation

Communicate effectively with students and parents when required

Requirements

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in History or related field
  
• Strong understanding of AP World History & AP US History curriculum
  

Core Skills

• Excellent concept clarity in global and US historical events
  
• Strong storytelling ability to make history engaging
  
• Ability to teach analytical writing (DBQ, LEQ) effectively
  
• Familiarity with AP exam pattern and scoring guidelines
  
• Strong communication and presentation skills
  
• Ability to handle diverse student learning levels
  

Technical & Teaching Skills

• Experience in online teaching platforms (Zoom)
  
• Comfortable with digital tools, presentations, and interactive teaching methods
  
• Ability to manage small batch sizes (high engagement model)
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience teaching AP curriculum (US-based students preferred)
  
• Experience with international students / online tutoring platforms
  
• Proven track record of student results (AP scores improvement)
  
• Exposure to project-based or discussion-led teaching methods
