ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY  

We are seeking an experienced SEO Strategist ready to expand their client engagement and take on greater responsibility.  

This role requires quarterly client interactions with active participation on calls, in addition to assisting in deck building and presenting. You will be expected to contribute valuable insights, present performance data, and refine your client communication skills in real-time. Furthermore, you will be responsible for managing an SEO book of business where each client has a monthly recurring revenue target of $4,000-$7,000 (if available). This role is designed for a strategist who has a solid foundation in SEO and is eager to accelerate their growth by taking on direct client responsibilities and contributing to company-wide revenue growth. 

This is a newly created role to support our growing department. To qualify, candidates must reside and be eligible to work in the United States.  

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Client Relationship Management: Manage a portfolio of client accounts and build strategic partnerships. Proactively identify and address client needs, providing guidance and recommendations. 
  • Participation in Client SEO Calls: Quarterly participation in client SEO calls. Contribute to discussions, present data and insights, and learn to effectively address client questions and concerns.
  • Performance Reporting and Analysis: Conduct analysis of website performance using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Generate reports on key SEO metrics, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • SEO Deliverable Management: Creation and delivery of detailed SEO deliverables, including keyword research, technical SEO audits, on-page optimization recommendations, and competitive analysis reports. 
  • Content Optimization Support: Provide data-driven recommendations for content optimization, working closely with content teams to ensure alignment with SEO strategies.
  • New Employee Support: Assist in shadowing and on-boarding training for new team members, as well as Associate Strategists being promoted into the SEO Strategist role.
  • Strategy: Collaborate with Account Managers to develop and refine SEO strategies based on performance data and competitive analysis.
  • Stay Updated on SEO Trends: Continuously learn and stay updated on the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices.
  • Client Communication: Actively practice and refine your communication skills in a client-facing environment, preparing for additional strategic and client-facing responsibilities.
  • Business Development and Growth: Identify and pursue opportunities for client growth, including upselling and cross-selling SEO and related services. Lead the performance and strategy in renewal pitches.

ABOUT YOU 

  • 2–3+years of proven experience in SEO.
  • Proficiency in website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console).
  • Proficiency in SEO tools and programs (e.g., AHREFs,SEMRush, Screaming Frog).
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
  • Understanding of key SEO trends, strategic directions, and common problems/issues that a client could experience.
  • Ability to articulate SEO observations and data in a respectful, constructive, and productive manner to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfortable pitching clients on potential upsells that align with the client’s goals, as well as aiding with renewal efforts.

ABOUT THE COMPENSATION 

  • Base Salary: USD $58,000.00 to $68,000.00; depending on experience and skills
  • Commission eligible
