Workday Time Tracking & Absence Consultant (Contract-to-Hire)

Overview
We are seeking a Workday Time Tracking & Absence Consultant to support enterprise Workday initiatives across implementation and enhancement efforts. This is a hands-on, client-facing role focused on translating business requirements into scalable, well-structured configurations.
This opportunity is structured as a contract-to-hire, making it a great fit for consultants who want to remain hands-on in Workday while moving into a role that offers greater stability, continuity, and a more balanced day-to-day.

• Configure Workday Time Tracking and Absence modules based on business requirements and leading practices
• Lead or support client working sessions to gather requirements and define business rules
• Translate complex policies into clear, scalable Workday configurations
• Provide guidance on design options, tradeoffs, and downstream impacts
• Support end-to-end testing including unit, SIT, and UAT; assist with defect resolution and triage
• Maintain key project documentation including configuration workbooks, decision logs, and testing artifacts
• Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to project leadership and stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including integrations, payroll, and HCM
• Support and mentor junior consultants as needed

Qualifications

• Active Workday Time Tracking and/or Absence Certification required
• Proven experience configuring Workday Time Tracking and Absence
• Strong understanding of:
  • Accruals and eligibility rules
  • Time entry and time calculation rules
  • Absence and leave plan design
