Roles & Responsibilities

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree with 2-4 years of experience or 6-8 years of relevant experience
  • At least 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a call center
  • Previous experience in the PBM and/or healthcare industry preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for program-specific Specialty Pharmacies (SPs), Specialty Distributors (SDs), and the manufacturer’s Sales Force within HUB operations
  • Review, analyze, identify, and resolve issues and escalations; provide timely reconciliation of SP/SD dispensing and shipping information
  • Build and maintain strong SP-HUB (and, when applicable, Sales Force-HUB) relationships; coordinate product, pump, and supply deliveries to align with patient titration or clinical needs
  • Identify complex cases, triage appropriately, support SP/portal inquiries, escalate prior authorization denials/appeals, and assist with SPP scorecards

Brief Description:   

Patients are at the center of our business strategies.  This role serves as a single point of contact for program specific Specialty Pharmacies (SPs), Specialty Distributors (SDs) and/or the manufacturer’s Sales Force.   Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, identifying, and solving problematic issues and escalations. Provide timely and accurate reconciliation of SP and/or SD dispensing/shipping information, builds and develops strong SP-HUB relationships, and support all activities that facilitate patient access. As applicable, builds and develops strong Sales Force-HUB relationships. Utilize knowledge of specialty pharmacy processes, dispensing patterns and reimbursement issues to effectively detect and investigate potential gaps in care.  

Specific job duties:

  • Service Provider will provide dedicated full-time equivalent Specialty Pharmacy Liaison(s) (SPL) to serve as the primary resource managing the coordination of specialty pharmacies within HUB operations.
  • The SPL manages the SPPs by conducting teleconferences with each SP.
  • The SPL provides ongoing communication with the SPP as needed to manage each patient case.
  • The SPL identifies complex cases and triages them appropriately to the next level for support.
  • The SPL reviews the exceptions and restatement of SPP records
  • The SPL provides support for the questions related to the sales portal
  • The SPL serves as a point of escalation concerning prior authorization denials and/or appeals.
  • The SPL assist as need with the SPP scorecard.
  • SPPs will be contracted by AbbVie to work closely with NCM to support and coordinate service delivery.
  • SPL will coordinate a delivery date for product, pump and supplies from the appropriate SPP to coincide with the patient's first day of titration or based on HCP/patient need.  If the SP is unresponsive or refuses, UBC will immediately notify AbbVie.
  • SPL obtains information for follow up on behalf on the SPP. 

Qualifications: 

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree and 2-4years of experience or 6-8 years relevant working experience 
  • 2 years experience in a customer service setting,  preferably in a call center environment 
  • Previous experience in the PBM and/or healthcare industry preferred 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel  
  • Ability to handle a fast paced environment
