Roles & Responsibilities

  • Experience implementing Oracle PBCS (Planning Central Cloud Service) and designing planning models (Workforce, CapEx, Revenue, Opex)
  • Proficiency with Calc Manager, Groovy scripting, data forms, and business rules
  • Experience with data integration (FDMEE/Data Integration) and ERP/HR integrations (Oracle ERP, SAP)
  • Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and end-user training skills

Requirements:

  • Lead requirement gathering and solution design for PBCS by conducting workshops with Finance/FP&A stakeholders and translating requirements into scalable cloud solutions (planning models: Workforce, CapEx, Revenue, Opex)
  • Configure and implement PBCS components: data forms, business rules (Calc Manager/Groovy), Task Lists, workflows, smart lists, substitution variables; set up security and provisioning; develop driver-based models
  • Oversee data integration and validation: FDMEE/Data Integration, load rules/mappings, ERP/HR integrations; perform data validation, reconciliation, and drill-through
  • Develop reports and support testing/deployment: Smart View, dashboards, management reports; support post-go-live (Hypercare), enhancements, testing (Unit/SIT/UAT), migrations across Dev/Test/Prod; train end users

Key Responsibilities

1. Requirement Gathering & Solution Design

  • Conduct workshops with business stakeholders (Finance/FP&A teams)
  • Translate business requirements into PBCS solutions
  • Design planning models (Workforce, CapEx, Revenue, Opex)

? PBCS consultants typically convert financial planning needs into scalable cloud solutions


2. Implementation & Configuration

  • Build and configure:
    • Data Forms
    • Business Rules (Calc Manager / Groovy)
    • Task Lists & Workflow (Approvals)
    • Smart Lists & Substitution Variables
  • Configure security (roles, access, provisioning)
  • Develop driver-based planning models

3. Data Integration & Management

  • Work on:
    • Data Management (FDMEE / Data Integration)
    • Load rules & mappings
    • ERP/HR integrations (Oracle ERP, SAP, etc.)
  • Handle data validation, reconciliation, and drill-through

4. Reporting & Analysis

  • Develop reports using:
    • Smart View
    • Dashboards
    • Management Reporting
  • Support financial reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)

5. Support & Enhancements

  • Provide post-go-live support (Hypercare)
  • Manage change requests and enhancements
  • Optimize performance and troubleshoot issues

6. Testing & Deployment

  • Perform:
    • Unit Testing
    • SIT (System Integration Testing)
    • UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
  • Support migration across environments (Dev → Test → Prod)

7. Client Interaction

  • Act as a functional/techno-functional consultant
  • Conduct training sessions for end users
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
