 Job Overview

        We are seeking an experienced Linux/Unix Systems Engineer – Automation & Migration to support a critical transformation project involving migration from Oracle Database to SAP HANA and modernization of legacy automation systems using SAP Automation Pilot.

 Key Responsibilities

·         Analyze and understand existing Unix/Linux-based automation workflows

·         Review and interpret complex shell scripts and legacy batch jobs (e.g., Autosys)

·         Assist in migration of database processes from Oracle to SAP HANA

·         Translate legacy automation logic into SAP Automation Pilot workflows

·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth migration and automation

·         Identify opportunities to optimize and modernize legacy processes

·         Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability during transition

 Required Skills

·         Strong hands-on experience with Unix/Linux systems

·         Deep expertise in Shell Scripting (Bash/Korn Shell)

·         Proven experience analyzing:

·         Complex shell scripts

·         Legacy job schedulers (e.g., Autosys)

·         Understanding of automation frameworks and batch processing systems

·         Ability to work in US shift and remote environment

Good to Have Skills

·         Basic knowledge of SQL

·         Exposure to SAP HANA

·         Experience with SAP Automation Pilot

·         Background in automation or system integration projects

·         Preferred Candidate Profile

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·         Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

·         Experience working on migration or transformation projects
