Job description


Oxford Solutions is working with a consulting-focused client seeking an Industrial Engineer to support operational improvement projects across retail and supply chain environments. This is a direct hire opportunity offering remote flexibility with extensive travel (80–100%). Candidates must be located within one hour of a major U.S. airport.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on problem solving, working onsite with clients, and driving measurable improvements in operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead or support operational improvement projects at client sites across the U.S.
  • Conduct time studies, process observations, and workflow analysis to identify efficiency opportunities
  • Analyze labor data, productivity metrics, and capacity to develop improvement recommendations
  • Create process maps and support redesign of workflows and operational systems
  • Build models and reports to quantify cost savings and performance improvements
  • Partner with client stakeholders to implement process improvements and track results
  • Facilitate working sessions and communicate findings to leadership teams
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to overall project execution
  • Travel weekly to client sites (typically Sunday/Monday through Thursday)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
  • 3–7 years of experience applying industrial engineering principles in consulting, manufacturing, retail, or supply chain environments
  • Strong experience with time studies, labor standards, Lean principles, and process improvement
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze and model data
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings to stakeholders
  • Comfortable working independently in fast-paced, client-facing environments
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (80–100%)
  • Must live within one hour of a major airport

  • Schedule may include evenings, weekends, or extended hours depending on project needs
