Roles & Responsibilities

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Software Engineering with strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Strong expertise in SQL (complex queries, joins, window functions) and hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift and data warehousing
  • Proficiency in Python; working knowledge of Node.js; experience building serverless ETL pipelines and integrating AWS services (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, Step Functions)
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Amazon QuickSight, Looker, and exposure to AI / Generative AI technologies; experience working in Agile environments

Requirements:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines/ETL using AWS serverless technologies, serverless workflows with AWS Step Functions, and infrastructure as code (CloudFormation)
  • Build and optimize analytics on Amazon Redshift for high-performance data warehousing and develop complex SQL for data transformation and reporting
  • Develop backend services in Python and Node.js within a microservices architecture and integrate AWS services such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, and SNS
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform unit testing and code reviews, and contribute to automation, testing, and DevOps best practices

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in data analytics, AWS cloud technologies, and AI-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms supporting critical digital products.This role requires a hands-on engineer with a strong software development mindset, capable of working across data engineering, backend development, and cloud infrastructure in a fast-paced Agile environment.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using AWS serverless technologies
  • Build and optimize data solutions on Amazon Redshift for high-performance analytics
  • Develop and maintain backend services using Python and Node.js in a microservices architecture
  • Integrate AWS services such as AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon SQS, and Amazon SNS
  • Build serverless workflows using AWS Step Functions
  • Implement infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation
  • Develop and maintain dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau, Amazon QuickSight, or Looker
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation and reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Architects, and Developers
  • Perform unit testing, code reviews, and ensure high-quality, performant code
  • Contribute to automation, testing, and DevOps best practices
 
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in Data Engineering / Software Engineering
  • Strong expertise in SQL (complex queries, joins, window functions, performance tuning)
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift and data warehousing solutions
  • Strong experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, Step Functions)
  • Experience building serverless ETL pipelines
  • Proficiency in Python and working knowledge of Node.js
  • Experience with BI tools (Tableau, QuickSight, Looker, etc.)
  • Exposure to AI / Generative AI technologies
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience integrating Redshift with AWS services such as Glue, Athena, and Kinesis
  • Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with event-driven microservices architecture
  • Knowledge of OpenSearch or similar technologies
