Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Computer Science with 8+ years of experience in sales and/or sales management.
  • Experience developing and building successful B2B partner relationships within the financial services sector, with 5+ years of management experience.
  • Knowledge of Direct to Corporate, Treasury Management, payments landscape, including regulatory impacts and emerging technologies.
  • Net new account development experience including complex outsourcing and/or software solution sales specifically aligned to the Payments sector (receivables and payables).

Requirements:

  • Lead a team of Client Managers to secure and grow profitable revenue, manage multiple account relationships, and advance pipeline of net-new and existing business.
  • Develop and execute annual territory plans with sales forecasts, budgets, and expense management; consistently meet or exceed sales targets through effective deal execution and risk mitigation.
  • Recruit, retain, develop, and promote sales talent; coach on deal execution, pipeline development, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Coordinate contract processes and negotiations with clients and internal departments; act as escalation point to ensure account plans and objectives are realized.

Job Description:

Secure and grow profitable revenue streams by leading a team comprised of Client Managers who manage numerous account relationships and progress / close a pipeline of net new business and assigned existing business. Account space includes  Tier II and Tier III corporations and other non-financial institutions. Demonstrate sales excellence and acumen by providing sound judgement, guidance, and coaching to the team. Also responsible for territory planning, establishing sales forecasts, maintaining budgets and expenses related to sales activity. 

  • Meet and exceed sales targets consistently by ensuring solid deal execution, proactive planning and risk mitigation.

  • Recruit, retain, develop and promote Sales talent. Advance team capabilities through persistent coaching of deal execution, pipeline development and cross-functional interaction.

  • Participates, leads and coordinates contract processes and negotiations between clients and internal departments to include component contract input and T&C’s contributions for applicable opportunities.

  • Act as a point of escalation within accounts to ensure that account plans and objectives are realized.

  • Develop an annual territory plan outlining critical areas of focus and activities to ensure attainment of team’s annual sales objectives.

  • Collaborate, communicate and partner with other Sales Leaders and Leadership

Basic Qualifications (BQs): 

  • Education and Experience: Bachelors in Finance, Business, Computer Science and 8 years experience in sales / sales management

Preferred Qualifications (PQs):

  • Knowledge of the Direct to Corporate, Treasury Management, payment and services landscape, including regulatory impacts and emerging technologies

  • Knowledge of technical integration methods.

  • Master's degree

  • +10 years of experience developing and building successful B2B partner relationships within the financial services sector

  • + 5 years of management experience.

  • Net new account development sales experience including complex outsourcing and/or software solution sales specifically aligned to the Payments Sector – both receivables and payables

  • Strong leadership, team building, organizational agility, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills.  

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Ability to develop, present and execute strategic and tactical plans. 

 

Critical Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to complete all stages of the sales cycle (prospect, qualify, discover needs, professionally present solution, handle objections and close the sale), and Strategic selling

  • Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with customers and Deluxe Partners.

  • Ability to present product/service solutions to customers in person/virtually.

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to conduct Deluxe presentations in person and via web to large groups

  • Goal Setting and attainment of goals

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

  • Strong leadership, team building, organizational agility, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. 

  • Knowledge of business and financial process/metrics for use in driving key performance indicators and leading c-suite engagement in Payments Market.

  • Time management and prioritizing skills; ability to handle multiple, concurrent tasks

  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills.

Additional Basic Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $125,000.00 - $175,000.00 annually. This position will be eligible for commission or an annual performance incentive plan. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
