Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of Workday Financials and Procurement initiatives, supporting implementations, enhancements, integrations, and ongoing optimization efforts across a moderately complex environment.
- Provide end-to-end project oversight across core Workday Financials areas, including:
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Asset Management
- Procurement (requisitions, purchase orders, supplier management, inventory where applicable)
- Banking and settlements
- Financial reporting
- Partner closely with Finance, Accounting, and Procurement stakeholders to ensure system design aligns with business processes, internal controls, and compliance standards.
- Coordinate across functional Workday teams, integration resources (EIB, Studio, Core Connectors), third-party vendors, and internal subject matter experts to deliver scalable, well-governed solutions.
- Oversee key delivery components including configuration tracking, data conversion, integrations, security setup, and end-to-end testing activities.
- Support cutover planning, go-live readiness, and post-production stabilization to ensure a smooth transition into operations.
- Provide ongoing direction to the project team, facilitate status updates, manage scope considerations, and advise stakeholders on risks and recommended actions throughout execution.
Additional Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally with Finance, Procurement, IT, and external partners to drive alignment on business and system objectives.
- Lead process review and improvement efforts across key areas such as:
- Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- Record-to-Report (R2R)
- Supplier onboarding and lifecycle management
- Spend controls and approval frameworks
- Financial reporting enhancements
- Monitor timelines, testing cycles, data validation checkpoints, and integration readiness to proactively manage delivery risks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Finance and Procurement leadership, implementation partners, auditors, and PMO stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- PMP or similar project management certification preferred
- ~5+ years of experience leading complex IT or ERP-related projects
- ~3+ years of experience delivering application development or enhancement initiatives in enterprise environments
- Hands-on experience with tools such as MS Project, Visio, SharePoint, and O365
- Strong understanding of:
- Core accounting and procurement processes
- Financial reporting structures
- ERP and system integrations
