Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, including PostgreSQL.
Working proficiency with AWS services, preferably AWS RDS and related certifications.

Design, implement, and maintain database architecture and data orchestration to ensure data security, reliability, and performance.
Collaborate with federal partners and end users to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
Develop and optimize data pipelines using Python and SQL, and support continuous system development and automation (CI/CD where applicable).

Database Manager - Orchestration (United States Geological Survey)
Secure structures and data reliability are essential parts to accessing accurate data that is at the center of building precise geospatial products and user support that contribute to the enhancement of The National Map.
As a Database Manager focusing on data orchestration, you will be joining XTS's highly capable and collaborative Digital Services team supporting the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and their system architecture development. In this role, you will be leveraging your expertise in database architecture, collaborating with federal partners and end users, and demonstrating strong programming proficiency for efficiency and continuous system development.
Required Skills and Qualifications To be considered for this position, the desired candidate must demonstrate:
Bachelor's degree in a related area OR a current equivalent IT professional certification
Minimum of 4 years of relevant of experience may be used in lieu of degree
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, including PostgreSQL
Working proficiency with AWS services
Preferably AWS RDS service, may also demonstrate any AWS certifications
Proficiency working with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines for workflow efficiency
Familiarity with the ArcGIS software suite is preferred
