Senior Shopify Operator

This role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Please note that as this role supports U.S.-based clients, candidates must be available to work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone.

Our client is a U.S.-based manufacturer of innovative bathroom and shower products with nearly three decades of category leadership. The business operates a high-traffic digital ecosystem across two Shopify environments serving both direct consumers and trade customers, with a strong need for technical accuracy, catalog integrity, and performance visibility.

Role Overview

The Senior Shopify Operator will take full ownership of backend Shopify operations, product data integrity, and technical site health across two Shopify stores. This role is designed for someone highly technical, detail-driven, and experienced managing complex product structures within large-scale eCommerce environments.

Key Responsibilities

Shopify Operations & Complex Data Management

• Manage product data across catalogs with multi-level variant configurations, including complex SKU relationships such as size, finish, and product specifications.

• Execute bulk catalog updates, pricing adjustments, and inventory changes using tools such as Matrixify or similar bulk import systems.

• Monitor Shopify app integrations, identify conflicts, manage redirects, and maintain alignment between B2B and B2C environments.

• Build and maintain technical forms that support lead capture and trade program workflows.

Technical SEO & Site Performance

• Own on-page technical SEO elements including meta structures, URL logic, alt text, and crawlability standards.

• Implement and maintain structured data and schema markup to support search visibility, including readiness for AI-powered search environments.

• Identify friction points in navigation or checkout and recommend technical improvements that strengthen user experience.

Analytics & Reporting

• Cross-reference sales performance with GA4 data to identify trends in conversion rate, average order value, and product performance.

• Own weekly reporting focused on top-performing and underperforming SKUs, search behavior, and merchandising opportunities.

• Translate performance insights into recommendations for upselling, cross-selling, and bundling strategies.

Qualifications

Experience

• 4+ years of hands-on Shopify management within complex, high-SKU eCommerce environments.

• Strong experience managing multi-level variant configurations within Shopify product logic.

Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for bulk product and catalog management.

• Strong experience with Matrixify, CSV workflows, or similar bulk data tools.

• Deep understanding of technical SEO and schema markup implementation.

• High proficiency in GA4, including custom analysis and performance interpretation.

• Strong English communication skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

• Product launches and catalog updates are executed accurately and without errors.

• Shopify environments remain technically stable and operationally clean.

• SEO issues are identified and resolved proactively before impacting traffic.

• Data insights consistently support stronger merchandising and backend decisions.
