Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; 10+ years in Information Technology; healthcare payer domain experience preferred (Medicare experience a plus).
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), SSIS development, Microsoft SQL Server, and data platforms (Microsoft Data Fabric and Data Mastering); knowledge of Agile SDLC.
  • At least 4 years of managerial experience with proven leadership, people management, and cross-functional/vendor coordination skills.
  • Experience in data governance, data quality, production operations management, release management, data architecture, and stakeholder collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Provide leadership for SQL development, IT Production Support, and Database Administration teams; mentor and inspire a high-performance data team.
  • Define, implement, and enforce data quality standards, validation checks, and error handling procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with industry best practices; oversee data architecture and data quality initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement of data operations, optimizing efficiency, implementing best practices, and managing release management and vendor collaborations.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Zing Health is seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Technical Leader for Enterprise Data Management. In this critical role, the selected individual will lead a team overseeing SQL application development, database administration, and daily production operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software delivery, database administration and data operations, a keen eye for detail, and exceptional leadership skills. This is a hands-on leadership position focused on enabling and maintaining practices that are aligned with data governance as well as running the daily data operations. This role reports to the Vice President for Information Technology, Data. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide leadership for SQL development, IT Production Support and Database Administration teams. 
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of data professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture. 
  • Define, Implement and enforce data quality standards, validation checks, and error handling procedures to maintain high standards of data accuracy and integrity. 
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the data operations team, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains and implementing best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information Systems, or Related field. 
  • Over 10 years of experience in Information Technology, Prefer prior experience within the HealthCare payer domain, with exposure in one or more of Claims, Providers and Medical Management areas. Prior Medicare experience is a plus. 
  • Prefer 4+ years of managerial experience, demonstrating effective people management skills.  
  • Required prior experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and SSIS development, Microsoft's SQL Server, Microsoft Data Fabric and Data Mastering platforms.  
  • Knowledge of Agile SDLC practices, Database administration, and Daily Operations management including prior experience in managing operations issues across internal areas and external vendors. 
  • In-depth knowledge of industry best practices in managing Production Operations and Release Management 
  • Prior experience in integrating with external vendor platforms. 
  • Prior experience with data architecture and data quality. 
  • Prior Developer and Database Administrator (DBA) experience is a plus. 
  • Past mentoring of Data teams in best practices, standards, and performance optimization 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills 
  • Strong project management and multi-tasking skills. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Salary Description
$130,000-$140,000 Annually based on experience
