Roles & Responsibilities

  • 10+ years of related experience in modern workplace engineering and Microsoft 365 integration

  • Proficiency in Teams Voice administration and governance, including policies, emergency calling (Dynamic E911), number lifecycle management, and troubleshooting with Call Analytics and CQD

Requirements:

  • Design, implement, and support Microsoft Teams Phone solutions (Calling Plans, Operator Connect, Direct Routing) and related SBC/dial plan configurations; manage tenant dial plans and voice policies
  • Lead Skype for Business to Teams Phone migrations, ensuring voice resiliency, failover routing, SBC redundancy, and number normalization
  • Administer Teams Voice features, emergency calling, number lifecycle management, and monitor voice quality using Call Analytics and CQD; configure Auto Attendants, Call Queues, resource accounts, and licensing
  • Automate governance and security (RBAC, PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API); integrate Viva workloads with SharePoint Online and other M365 services; deliver partner-facing deployments and handovers

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Design, implement, and support Microsoft Teams Phone (Voice) solutions, including Calling Plans, Operator Connect, Direct Routing, and hybrid/cloud-only architectures.
  • Lead Skype for Business to Teams Phone migrations, ensuring voice resiliency, failover routing, SBC redundancy, and number normalization strategies.
  • Configure and manage Session Border Controllers (SBCs), SIP trunks, dial plans, normalization rules, and tenant dial plan strategies.
  • Administer Teams Voice policies, emergency calling (Dynamic E911), number lifecycle management, and monitor voice quality using Call Analytics and Call Quality Dashboard (CQD).
  • Configure Auto Attendants, Call Queues, resource accounts, and licensing, including business-hours routing, overflow, timeout, and shared voicemail scenarios.
  • Apply security, governance, and automation for Teams Voice: RBAC, scoped administration, PowerShell scripting, and Microsoft Graph API integration.
  • Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Viva workloads, including Viva Connections, Viva Engage, Viva Learning, Viva Amplify, and Viva Insights; configure dashboards, learning hubs, campaigns, analytics, and governance.
  • Integrate Viva and Teams solutions with SharePoint Online, Teams apps, Power BI, and other M365 services; ensure compliance with privacy, anonymization, and security requirements.
  • Support cross-platform Microsoft 365 services, including Azure AD/Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, and Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR).
  • Deliver partner-facing customer implementations, providing design, deployment, troubleshooting, documentation, and technical handovers in production enterprise tenants.
Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ yrs of related experience
  • Hands-on expertise in Microsoft Teams Phone, including Calling Plans, Operator Connect, Direct Routing, SBC configuration, dial plans, auto attendants, and call queues.
  • Experience migrating Skype for Business to Teams Phone, with voice resiliency, failover, and SBC redundancy strategies.
  • Proficient in Teams Voice administration, including policies, emergency calling, number lifecycle, and troubleshooting using Call Analytics/CQD.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Viva workloads (Connections, Engage, Learning, Amplify, Insights), including dashboards, campaigns, learning paths, analytics, and governance.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem: Azure AD/Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online; familiarity with Intune, Teams Rooms, and multi-geo/tenant considerations.
  • Experience in partner-facing implementations, independently designing, deploying, and troubleshooting Teams Voice and Viva solutions in production environments.
  • Skilled in automation, governance, and security, including RBAC, PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, and compliance with privacy and data protection standards.
  • Strong documentation, technical handover, and collaboration skills for enterprise-scale deployments.
