Title: Scientific Content Writer – Ophthalmology
Duration: 12 months contract
Location: Remote

Shift: Standard Business Hours

Position Summary
• The Global Scientific & Value Content Ophthalmology team is seeking a Scientific Content Writer to develop medical information content.
• Create scientific and medical materials for internal stakeholders and external scientific engagement.
• Support content development aligned with new data releases and medical information needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities
• Create and update Medical Information letters, slide decks, and FAQs based on new data and expiration timelines.
• Route documents through review and approval processes.
• Interact with team members to plan content development activities.
• Conduct independent literature searches to identify relevant new information.
• Incorporate new content accurately into documents through strong writing and editing skills.
• Solve problems within scope and seek guidance as needed.
• Manage multiple assignments while maintaining organization and meeting deadlines tied to data releases.

Qualifications

Education:
• Bachelor's degree or above in a scientific field

Experience:
• Minimum 2 years medical writing experience in a medical communications group
• Experience supporting Ophthalmology-related (Retina) Diseases/Products preferred
• Experience creating materials for Medical Information/Field Medical Personnel including medical information letters, slide decks, and FAQ documents

Skills:
• Strong writing, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Effective literature searching, fact-checking, and data summarization skills
• Proficiency with MS Office, PowerPoint, EndNote
• Veeva Vault MedComms experience preferred
• Self-driven, flexible, organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines
