Overview
 
A growing, multi-location U.S.-based company in the home improvement industry is seeking a reliable After-Hours Receptionist / Virtual Assistant to support incoming calls and light administrative tasks outside of standard business hours.
 
This role is ideal for someone who is confident on the phone, highly organized, and comfortable working independently during quieter evening shifts.
 
Key Responsibilities
Call Handling & Reception
● Answer incoming calls professionally and confidently
● Follow a structured decision tree to direct or assist callers
● Route calls to the correct department or take accurate messages
● Maintain a friendly, polished, and helpful tone at all times
 
Administrative Support
● Log call details and update internal systems
● Input customer information into CRM (e.g. Buildertrend or similar)
● Assist with basic data entry and admin tasks during quieter periods
● Support overflow admin tasks from the daytime EA when needed Requirements
 
Must-Have
● 3+ years experience in a client-facing / phone-based role

● High level of reliability and ability to work independently
 
Technical
● Experience with CRM systems (or ability to learn quickly)
● Basic admin tools (Google Workspace / Excel)
● Comfortable logging and organizing information accurately
 
Nice to Have
● Experience as a receptionist or call handler 
● Exposure to construction, home services, or similar industries
● Experience with Buildertrend or similar CRM systems
● Previous remote work experience
 
Working Style
● Independent and self-managed
● Calm under pressure (even if calls stack up)
● Detail-oriented when capturing information
● Professional but warm on the phone
 
 
● Part-time: 10–20 hours/week
● Timezone: EST (strict)
● Coverage role: Supporting gaps when main EA is offline 
● Primary: 6 PM – 8 PM EST
● Days: Tuesday–Saturday (flexible rotation possible)
