Climate Collective Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting climate tech startups. We work within the climate ecosystem to foster innovation by connecting startups with funding, investors, education, and accelerator programs. Our remote team of 50 members operates collaboratively to drive impactful, sustainable solutions for climate-related challenges.
About the Role
As an associate with Climate Collective, you will be instrumental in driving the strategy, business development, and execution of CCF’s diverse program portfolio. This role is central to advancing CCF’s offerings, which span startup acceleration, capacity building for aspiring entrepreneurs, community, and broader ecosystem engagements (e.g., convenings, establishing networks).
The role requires a blend of strategic thinking, program management expertise, and an entrepreneurial mindset to engage various stakeholder groups effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Strategy, Business Development, & Execution
- Strategy & BD for Programs: Lead the business development and strategy for CCF's initiatives. This includes identifying funding opportunities, creating proposals, forging strategic partnerships to scale these programs.
- Startup Acceleration Program Management (Climate Ready & Others): Serve as a Program Specialist for assigned programs, supporting the end-to-end planning, execution and reporting.
- Capacity Building & Ecosystem Program Management: Manage and execute programs targeting various stakeholders. This includes developing and maintaining program materials, managing participant outreach, and coordinating learning components.
- Operations & Logistics: Manage all essential operational tasks across programs, including application processes, onboarding of startups/participants, program timelines, mentor matching, session scheduling, and logistics for virtual and in-person components. Maintain dashboards and trackers for cohort engagement and deliverables.
2. Stakeholder & Ecosystem Engagement
- Direct Stakeholder Support: Act as a key point of contact for selected startups, aspiring entrepreneurs, or other program participants. Ensure ongoing engagement, conduct regular check-ins, and collect feedback to continuously improve program delivery.
- Ecosystem Building: Identify and onboard mentors, speakers, and ecosystem experts for various programs.
- Outreach & Research: Support outreach campaigns for target stakeholders. Conduct market scans and secondary research to identify promising startups, ecosystem trends, and new innovation opportunities etc.
3. Communications & Impact
- Content Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop compelling content for program decks, curriculum content, newsletters, and social media.
- Reporting: Contribute to impact reports, program reports, startup case studies, and `knowledge resources.
- Team Alignment: Work closely with the other CCF teams to ensure there are synergies between the teams and are aligned with program goals.
Qualifications and Experience
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in fields such as (e.g., Environmental Studies, Business, Communications, Engineering or a related area)-
· 3-4 years of professional experience in program management, community building, or partnerships ideally in the development, climate, or entrepreneurship sectors
· Passion for climate tech and a commitment to making a positive environmental impact.
· Proven experience in managing stakeholders, coordinating multi-partner initiatives, and maintaining partnerships.

- Strong problem-solving, planning, and coordination capabilities
- Ability to work independently with ownership and accountability.
- Passion for climate entrepreneurship, gender empowerment, sustainability, and ecosystem development.
