  • Analyze sales and market data to drive growth, monitor pricing, and ensure distribution partners meet revenue targets
  • Train and develop distribution partners on clinical and sales capability, coordinate with the international training and education manager to set up training programs, and provide case support and data collection for clinical programs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers (KOLs), represent the technology at local and international congresses, and assist with market entry strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams

Job Description:

Position Overview

The Distribution Manager India is a highly visible position that will help to launch and sell the Shockwave IVL technology in close collaboration with new and existing distribution partners. He/She reports to the Sn Manager Distributor India & Middle East who manages commercial activities in existing and new international markets. The Distribution Manager India will contribute to the continuous development of a growth strategy focused on new market entry, increased therapy penetration in existing markets, driving revenue sources, and delivering customer satisfaction. In addition, the Distribution Manager will provide case support to physicians. The Distribution Manager will also play a critical role in distribution and customer training as well as clinical study support including device training, case support and ensuring timely data collection for clinical programs where needed.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Be the first line Shockwave contact person for new and existing distribution partners in assigned territories.

  • Understand and analyze sales and market data to drive growth and develop markets.

  • Monitors and adapt pricing to maximize sales 

  • Ensure revenue targets of distribution partners are achieved within the assigned territories.

  • Develop an understanding of current and future market trends that may impact Shockwave Medical Inc sales.

  • Establish and lead regular meetings and conference calls with distribution partners.

  • Prepare quarterly sales forecasts.

  • Train distribution partners to ensure continual improvement in capability, knowledge, customer service, performance, and profitability.

  • Ensure distribution partners are equipped with the necessary clinical and sales skills to represent Shockwave Medical Inc. through coaching individuals in the field and personally observing the performance of distributions.

  • Work closely with the international training and education manager to set up training programs in the assigned geography.

  • Assist distribution partner with customer training when required.

  • Implement new sales strategies and techniques with the distribution partners to increase market penetration.

  • Align with Director International Distribution in market entry strategies for new regions.

  • KOL management: In alignment with Marketing, develop and maintain relationships with key customers in assigned territories, whilst facilitating ongoing product training and support.

  • Attend local and international congresses to promote and explain technology to physicians.

  • Effectively meet the needs of internal and external customers with a sense of urgency and drive.

  • Administrative activities and other duties as assigned.

 

 

Requirements

·       Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in business, science, nursing or related fields, or equivalent experience.

·       Extensive industry experience.

·       Proven experience directly supporting interventional or surgical procedures within a hospital.

·       Working knowledge of clinical research, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory compliance guidelines for clinical trials.

·       Product knowledge including product vigilance and medical device reporting.

·       High attention to detail and accuracy.

·       Computer skills (MS Office products, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.).

·       Finance and budgeting knowledge.

·       Good prioritization and organizational skills.

·       Excellent critical thinking skills.

·       Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.

·       High energy and results-oriented individual who is mature and successful in a business environment and is skilled in motivating and inspiring people.

·       Entrepreneurial “hands-on” experience. Pro-active and “can do” attitude.

·       Works effectively on cross-functional teams. Demonstrates willingness to make decisions and to take responsibility for such.

·       Effective written, verbal and presentation skills with all levels of customers and management.

·       Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

·       Operate as a team and/or independently while demonstrating flexibility to changing requirements.

·       Fluent written and spoken English

  • Significant travel >60% of time requiring the employee to be effective in a remote manner

  • Based in India, preferably South
