The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
 

As a Market Strategist for the Grouper Applications and Medical Necessity (GAMN) business, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by shaping and executing strategies that bring patient grouping methodologies to market and drive business growth. You will collaborate cross-functionally to create and strengthen strategic partnerships, influence product direction and support revenue expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business development efforts and proactively identify, cultivate, and strengthen strategic relationships with key industry stakeholders, influencers, and potential partners.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive market strategies, including gathering market insights and competitive analysis, positioning, and strategic business partner-focused growth plans.
  • Advise and present to senior leadership on strategic planning and long-term direction through clear, data-driven recommendations. Define and track KPIs to measure strategic effectiveness and adjust plans based on performance.
  • Assume responsibility for designated GAMN business partner relationships and contracts, including managing renewals, short- and long-term planning and strategy, facilitating and preparing leadership discussions, and collaborating closely with the account management and Clinical and Economic Research (C&ER) teams.
  • Identify emerging healthcare market trends and technologies and recommend adaptive strategies and solutions to drive innovation and growth.
  • Drive revenue growth through lead generation, sales enablement, and internal and external facing marketing strategies.
  • Provide VOC-driven recommendations for product development, enhancements, and services to meet client needs. Identify partners to strengthen our position in healthcare value.

Your Skills and Expertise  

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) AND six (6) years of experience in med-tech, payer, provider, and/or business development, health policy, consulting, or sales

 

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

 

  • Five (5) years of marketing, commercialization, and/or sales account management experience
  • Five (5) years of experience supporting private, public, providers, payers, or government in healthcare payment, policy, and/or value-based payment programs 
  • Two (2) years of experience with proprietary and public payment methodologies
  • Experience with key stakeholders in healthcare payment and delivery reform
  • Experience in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and/ or revenue cycle workflows, systems and implementation

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

 

  • Experience with P&L management, revenue recognition, pricing, and contract negotiations
  • Experience commercializing solutions in commercial and/or government markets
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to work independently or lead teams
  • Ability to adapt to changing political and market environments while maintaining business focus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and influencing skills

Travel: May include up to 30% domestic

Onboarding Requirement: To improve the onboarding experience, you will have an opportunity to meet with your manager and other new employees as part of the Solventum new employee orientation. As a result, new employees hired for this position will be required to travel to a designated company location for on-site onboarding during their initial days of employment. Travel arrangements and related expenses will be coordinated and paid for by the company in accordance with its travel policy. Applies to new hires with a start date of October 1st 2025 or later.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $143,200 - $196,900, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
