About the role:

To support our financial department in Aalst, we are looking for a Financial Advisor Counterparty Risk. As a Financial Advisor Counterparty Risk, you will be involved in both domestic and international projects across the various segments in which JDN Group operates: dredging and marine works, offshore, civil engineering, and environmental works.

What you’ll do:
  • You are responsible for performing the financial analysis of third parties (customers, suppliers, subcontractors, etc.) and business partners. You identify risks and advise on their mitigation through e.g. bank guarantees. You make comparative studies between alternative suppliers.
  • For this, you actively consult with various internal departments and discuss your advice with them and the internal risk committee.
  • Through input from other teams, you also integrate compliance and sustainability risks into your advice and make a proposal to the risk committee.
  • You contribute to sound financial reporting and communication, both internally (to management) and externally (e.g. to financial institutions).

What do you need? 

You hold a bachelor’s degree in a financial field, combined with at least three years of relevant work experience in a financial environment, or you have obtained a master’s degree in an economic or financial discipline. You possess broad financial knowledge and have experience in financial analysis and risk management. In addition, you have a good command of Dutch, English, and French.

You are a result-oriented person, driven and possess a high degree of independence. You have a critical attitude and are risk aware. You have strong communication skills, a sense of initiative and responsibility.
