Deliver Instructional Excellence

  • Ensure your LMS course is accurate, engaging, and ready prior to the start of each term.
  • Post weekly announcements and instructional videos to guide learning and build connection.
  • Facilitate meaningful online discussions and maintain a strong, consistent instructor presence.
  • Present course material in ways that spark curiosity, critical thinking, and application.
  • Provide clear explanations of assignments, projects, and assessments.
  • Maintain a respectful, safe, and inclusive virtual classroom.
  • Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours on weekdays and 48 hours on weekends.
  • Hold at least one hour per week of virtual office hours.
  • Post grades within 72 hours and return graded work within 7 days, when applicable.

Support Academic & Administrative Standards

  • Uphold University policies outlined in the Student Handbook and University Catalog.
  • Communicate with the Assistant Director of General Education regarding student non-participation or concerns.
  • Submit grades and academic records accurately and on time.
  • Report course-related or University concerns promptly and professionally.

Grow as an Educator

  • Participate in faculty meetings, trainings, and development opportunities as needed.
  • Stay current in the discipline through professional reading, associations, conferences, or continuing education.
