Requirements:

  • Manage and maintain the Circle community platform (spaces, permissions, navigation); support member onboarding and implement workflow automations; organize monthly events and document standard operating procedures.
  • Test courses and learning content to ensure a smooth user experience; monitor course completion rates; collect member feedback and recommend improvements to the learning experience.
  • Encourage participation through posts, discussions, and member interactions; design and run engagement activities (prompts, challenges, QA sessions, peer circles); re-engage inactive members and track engagement trends.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive community environment; reinforce values and guidelines; provide monthly insights on engagement and sentiment; assist with moderation and escalate sensitive issues as needed.

About the Role

MENA Alliances is hiring a Part-Time Community Manager to support the illumine.earth Ecosystem, a purpose-driven online community focused on meaningful learning, collaboration, and member engagement.

This role focuses on community operations, member engagement, and learning experience quality. The Community Manager will ensure the community platform runs smoothly, members feel supported, and engagement within the ecosystem continues to grow.

This is a fully remote and flexible role, ideal for someone who enjoys building strong communities, improving member experiences, and working with online platforms.


Key Responsibilities

1. Platform Operations

  • Manage and maintain the Circle community platform (spaces, permissions, navigation).
  • Support member onboarding and provide technical support when needed.
  • Set up and optimize workflow automations such as onboarding sequences and notifications.
  • Organize and support 1–2 community events per month including scheduling and follow-ups.
  • Document standard operating procedures for community workflows.

2. Learning Experience & Quality

  • Test courses and learning content to ensure a smooth user experience.
  • Monitor course completion rates and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collect member feedback through surveys, polls, and direct conversations.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance the learning experience and participation.

3. Community Engagement

  • Encourage participation through posts, discussions, and member interactions.
  • Design and run engagement activities such as community prompts, challenges, Q&A sessions, and peer circles.
  • Reach out to inactive members to encourage participation.
  • Track engagement trends and experiment with new engagement strategies.

4. Community Health & Governance

  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive community environment.
  • Reinforce community values, guidelines, and purpose across interactions.
  • Provide monthly insights on community engagement and member sentiment.
  • Assist with moderation and escalate sensitive issues when needed.


Requirements


  • Experience managing online communities or digital platforms.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and support community members effectively.
  • Organized and proactive with attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with online tools and learning new platforms.
  • Experience with Circle platform or community platforms is a plus.

Deliverables

Monthly:

  • Community KPI dashboard and engagement insights
  • Community health snapshot and member feedback summary

Quarterly:

  • Engagement and experiment analysis report
  • Recommendations for improving courses and platform experience
