Job description

This is a remote position.

A UK-based client is seeking a skilled and purpose-driven Product Lead to manage the MVP delivery of a groundbreaking AR-powered Islamic product. This solution aims to deliver real-time translations of Quranic recitation within mosque settings, built around privacy, accessibility, reverence, and Sharia compliance.

You will be responsible for defining and delivering a technically complex and culturally sensitive mobile-first experience. This includes working with real-time Arabic ASR, scholar-approved translations, and reverent UI/UX design ,all under strict privacy and latency constraints.

Key Responsibilities

Define MVP scope, milestones, and pilot rollout plans in collaboration with mosque stakeholders.
Manage cross-functional teams including ASR/NLP engineers, mobile developers, and UI/UX designers.
Align product development with privacy-by-design, GDPR, and Sharia compliance.
Lead technical planning for Arabic ASR pipelines, fuzzy verse-matching, and real-time translation delivery.
Ensure thoughtful, reverent design of Prayer Mode UX, tailored for passive, sacred-space usage.
Oversee multi-platform deployment (mobile, mosque tablets, and AR overlays).
Support multi-language support (English, Urdu, French) with offline and edge functionality.
Collaborate with Sharia advisors to ensure all translations and flows are compliant and respectful.
Track performance KPIs: latency, confidence score, offline stability, accessibility support.

Requirements

Strong background in both product design and technology — able to guide UX decisions and make informed technical trade-offs.
4+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Lead on AI, AR, or real-time mobile applications.
Proven experience working with speech-to-text, streaming architectures, and real-time NLP/NLU systems.
Solid understanding of mobile development (React Native, Flutter, or native) and real-time backend technologies (WebRTC, WebSockets, Redis).
Familiarity with ASR technologies (e.g. Whisper, NeMo) and machine learning productization.
Strong grasp of accessible, culturally sensitive design principles for faith-based products.
Experience delivering privacy-critical or mission-sensitive tech solutions.

Soft Skills & Culture Fit

Effective cross-functional communicator and team leader.
Comfortable working in agile teams and independently across time zones.
Fluent in English; Arabic is a strong advantage.
Sensitivity to Islamic religious norms, especially within sacred spaces like mosques.
