Sr. QA Engineer
Remote in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, or Utah

Responsibilities:
- Architect and execute detailed test strategies and plans for sophisticated software platforms, ensuring new capabilities are designed with testability in mind and fully satisfy both functional and non-functional expectations.
- Build, enhance, and sustain robust automated testing frameworks and suites covering web, API, and mobile applications, with seamless integration into existing CI/CD pipelines.
- Conduct in-depth manual and exploratory testing on intricate features and edge scenarios, while continuously expanding and maintaining an automated regression suite across multiple browsers, devices, and operating systems.
- Detect, document, and drive defects to resolution, including performing thorough root-cause analysis to eliminate recurring issues and strengthen overall system reliability.
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to establish clear acceptance criteria and embed quality practices from the earliest design stages through deployment.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) and provide clear updates on testing progress and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, with a demonstrated history of designing and maintaining strong automation frameworks using tools such as Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent.
- Solid proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript, including real-world implementation of unit and integration testing.
- Advanced expertise in API testing and schema validation (using tools like OpenAPI and Swagger) to guarantee contract reliability and data integrity in complex distributed environments.
- Direct experience testing various architectures within the AWS ecosystem, including validation of SQS and SNS integrations with Lambda functions.
- Strong background in modern source control and deployment processes, specifically GitHub for version control and building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
- Practical experience querying both SQL and NoSQL databases for data validation, along with working knowledge of containerization using Docker.
- Hands-on experience performing performance and scalability testing with tools like JMeter, K6, or similar to validate system behavior under demanding high-traffic conditions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, paired with a clear, respectful, and collaborative communication style. Must be willing to take full ownership of the quality lifecycle and mentor fellow team members.
- Proven strength in manual/exploratory test planning and defect management within an Agile setting.
