The Role at a Glance

AIMCOR is expanding its dynamic team of external wholesalers to drive the sales of life, long-term care, disability income, and annuity products through its institutional division, AIMCOR Enterprise Insurance Group (EIG). In this role, you will build and grow relationships across the EIG channel with banks, credit unions, wirehouses, national/regional broker-dealers, and independent broker-dealers within in the New England Region. You will possess an entrepreneurial spirit while striving for excellence. You will be responsible for territory production in partnership with an internal wholesaler, drive financial professional penetration rates, and promote product diversity. You will have a strong desire to broaden financial wellness in a learning environment while educating communities throughout the assigned territory.


The Impact
As the External Wholesaler, AIMCOR EIG, key responsibilities and competencies include, but are not limited to:

  • Proactively develop, maintain, and grow relationships with assigned accounts in the territory through ongoing financial professional profiling, continual relationship-building, and refining and refreshing the financial professional base. This will be done via in-person and virtual meetings.
  • Execute on specific territory sales goals, activity expectations, and territory management with banks, credit unions, wirehouses, national/regional broker-dealers, and independent broker-dealers to maximize opportunities.
  • Develop and execute a strategic territory business plan; coordinate between segmentation strategy and zones/rotation execution to drive top-line revenue and sales results, targeting a minimum of 20 in-person or virtual meetings per week.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding and knowledge of EIG’s full product suite, becoming fluent in sales concepts while gaining industry knowledge and insights on market trends. Demonstrate understanding of the industry and competitive landscape. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for EIG and be viewed as a resource by your assigned financial professionals.
  • Understand the selling process, including questioning techniques to discover needs, strong listening skills, and the ability to address customer questions and concerns while overcoming objections. Demonstrate proficiency in sales presentations, both virtual and in person, and deliver advanced presentation skills for audiences of various sizes with high levels of participation and buy-in. Possess experience with a variety of presentation mediums (Zoom, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Communicate confidently with your customer base to drive sales in partnership with your territory’s internal sales and new business support teams. Speak and present ideas effectively in person, virtually, in writing, by phone, by e-mail, and through other methods. Possess effective conflict resolution skills.
  • Optimize time management by prioritizing high-value tasks, streamlining communications with financial professionals and team members, and managing the utilization and allocation of resources efficiently.
  • Be trustworthy and adhere to high ethical standards, complying with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and company policies. Be seen as a trusted and valued business partner. Lead by example and inspire trust.
  • Effectively partner with the internal wholesaler, new business, key account team, and relationship team on escalations and prioritizations in the territory to achieve goals.


Requirements

The Minimum Qualifications

  • A successful track record in the financial services industry, with 3+ years of sales experience in financial services that directly aligns with the responsibilities preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems, as well as other software programs.
  • State Life and Health license.
  • FINRA Series 6 or 7 (or obtain within 90 days of hire) and appropriate state life & annuity licenses. Relevant industry designations are a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Reside within the assigned region/sales territory.
  • Analytical skills and close attention to detail necessary to determine proper processing of investment documents.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skill in writing grammatically correct routine business correspondence
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a changing work environment.

Compensation for all positions is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of the Company’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual incentives and discretionary based bonuses based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and the Company’s standard benefits package.
