Red Nucleus is hiring a Medical Writer to join our global team! This is a remote role based out of the US.

Job Overview


The Senior Solutions Architect serves as both a strategic technology leader and hands-on technical
expert within the MC1 business unit, driving architectural vision while actively participating in key
technical decisions and implementations. This role balances high-level strategy with practical technical
leadership, focusing on establishing architectural standards, creating technical solutions, and fostering
innovation for the business unit. The Senior Solutions Architect maintains deep technical expertise
while building foundational practices that can support business unit growth.

complex solutions. Your experience balancing hands-on development with technical leadership,
particularly in fast-paced digital environments, sets you apart. You have a talent for establishing
architectural patterns and practices that others can follow, while still being ready to dive into code
when needed. Your exceptional communication skills help you bridge the gap between technical and
business stakeholders, making complex concepts accessible to any audience. Above all, you're a natural
collaborator – pragmatic in your approach to technology, passionate about mentoring others, and
unafraid to champion the right solution even when it challenges conventional thinking.


Responsibilities:


• Drive technology strategy and architectural decisions for the Medical Communications business unit
• Establish and maintain architectural principles, patterns, and best practices
• Create reference architectures and technical standards for common use cases
• Lead technical reviews and provide oversight for critical projects
• Mentor development team members and foster technical excellence
• Evaluate and recommend technology solutions, including AI tools and platforms
• Develop proof-of-concepts and technical prototypes for critical initiatives
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs
• Create and maintain technical documentation and architectural artifacts
• Participate in build vs. buy decisions and technology selection
• Guide integration strategies for tools and platforms
• Support development teams in implementing AI solutions and best practices


Education, Experience, Training, and Knowledge


Education


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required
• Technical certifications in relevant areas are valuable but not mandatory.


Experience


• 8+ years of experience in software development and architecture
• 3+ years in technical leadership or architecture roles
• Strong background in designing and implementing complex technical solutions
• Experience working in fast-paced agency or consulting environments
• Experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or related sectors is advantageous



Skills & Abilities


• Deep understanding of software architecture principles and patterns
• Strong expertise in multiple technology stacks and development frameworks
• Experience with cloud platforms and distributed systems architecture
• Proficiency in modern development practices and DevOps principles
• Strong understanding of API design and integration patterns
• Experience with architectural documentation tools and methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Outstanding communication abilities, especially in translating technical concepts for various
audiences
• Strong project planning and estimation capabilities
• Experience mentoring technical teams and driving best practices
• Knowledge of AI/ML technologies and their practical applications
• Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and assess their business value



The expected compensation range for this role is $123,000 to $152,000 CAN. Compensation will be determined based on an applicant’s skills, competencies, experience, and qualifications. Employees may progress within this range over time based on performance, tenure, and internal equity considerations. Red Nucleus Employees may progress within this range over time based on performance, tenure, and internal equity considerations.
