Roles & Responsibilities

  • 5+ years’ experience working as a business analyst with an EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system in a vendor organisation or healthcare environment
  • Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions
  • Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems
  • Experience with business processes and re-engineering, including contemporary engagement methods such as Proof of Concepts, and application design and delivery methodologies (Waterfall/Agile)

Requirements:

  • Define, document, prioritise, and communicate functional and technical requirements to all relevant parties, including the Global development team
  • Provide knowledge of the offering or portfolio, support presales activities, and contribute to ongoing product development
  • Lead and document detailed business requirements and functional features to meet customer and business needs, including innovative features to expand healthcare markets
  • Support the Regional and Global Product Managers by defining standard business processes and mapping these to care activities and functional transactions; liaise with technical and development teams to ensure software meets requirements

What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a strategic role in shaping, defining, and delivering Dedalus’ next-generation capabilities. Working closely with global teams, you will translate complex healthcare requirements into robust solutions that enhance patient care, clinician workflows, and system interoperability. Your impact will extend across the Asia-Pacific region, supporting product localization and innovation.

Working with an extended highly skilled team, you will be making a profound impact throughout the healthcare sector.

What you will do:

  • Functional, and technical requirements are accurately defined, documented, prioritised, and communicated to all relevant parties including the Global development team.
  • Provide knowledge of the offering or portfolio, supports presales work, and ongoing product development.
  • Working with multi-disciplinary and functional teams across the business including clinical domain experts and customers, where designs are complex to ensure client business needs are met.
  • Lead, identify, define, and document detailed business requirements and functional content features needed to meet requirements. Ensures that they meet customer and business requirements.
  • This is to include innovative and/or competitive features to support and expand the healthcare markets where Dedalus is operational or plans to enter.
  • Supports the Orbis Regional and Global Product Manager/s and colleagues in defining standard business processes and defining solution services and mapping these to standard business processes and care activities/functional transactions.
  • Identifies potential uses for offering and technologies, investigates and resolves matters of significance and designs strategies to ensure that the offering meets business needs. Liaison with technical and development teams to ensure the software meets the requirements specified.
  • Analyses and documents client's business requirements and processes and communicates these requirements by accurately defining feature and functional requirements, to specify application behaviour into quality business requirement documents.
  • Provides input for test scenarios, reviews and updates beta tests scripts, and ensures feedback from testing is accurately managed and provided to development for new requirements and fixes. Ensures systems and documentation are appropriately updated.
  • Ensures that clinical safety risks and issues are identified and appropriately managed within all stages of the software development lifecycle, supporting the Clinical safety quality assurance lead.

Essential Requirements

  • 5 + years’ experience working as a business analyst with an EMR either in a vendor organisation or health environment
  • Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions
  • Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems
  • Experience working with information technology with functional groups within an organization
  • Experience working with business processes and re-engineering, also experience with contemporary engagement methods, including Proof of Concepts, application design and delivery methodologies (Waterfall/Agile).

Desirable Requirements

  • Healthcare domain knowledge, clinical or health IT background (vendor experience)
  • Knowledge of ANZ healthcare processes and requirements
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
  • Presentation skills to present to management and customers
