Roles & Responsibilities

  • Currently pursuing a degree in graphic design or a related field (graphic design, visual communications, or digital design)
  • Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, line composition, color, and other graphic design fundamentals
  • Intermediate design skills with working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); Premiere Pro/After Effects is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and able to provide a portfolio of current graphic design work

Requirements:

  • Assist in creating print and digital marketing materials across channels (email, blog, website, social media, infographics, ebooks/white papers, digital ads, flyers, and presentations)
  • Adhere to brand guidelines and deliver projects on time
  • Explore and apply Adobe Creative Suite skills across media and help develop design concepts
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to take projects from concept to completion

Graphic Design Intern

RxBenefits is currently seeking a Graphic Design Intern for its expanding marketing team in Birmingham, Alabama. In this role, you will report to the Creative Director and assist in building the RxBenefits brand. This is your chance to learn and participate in creating visual content that effectively captivates RxBenefits target audiences. We are looking for someone that is both a creative thinker and is passionate about design. This role is not only about “making things pretty,” but about the ability to conceptualize and design content that supports our exceptional products and services.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist Creative team in the creation of print and digital marketing materials such as:
    • Email
    • Company Blog
    • Website
    • Social Media Channels
    • Infographics
    • eBooks and White Papers
    • Digital Ads
    • Flyers
    • Presentations (ie. PowerPoint slides)
  • Adhere to brand guidelines and complete projects according to the deadline
  • Explore your skills in the Adobe Creative Suite and work with a variety of media
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop design concepts
  • See projects through from conception to completion
  • Be an active member of our marketing and creative teams, attend team meetings, and coordinate projects with stakeholders


Requirements:

  • Working toward a degree in graphic design or a related field (graphic design, visual communications, digital design)
  • Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, line composition, color, and other graphic design fundamentals
  • Intermediate design skills with a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software:
    • Illustrator
    • Photoshop
    • InDesign
    • Premiere Pro/After Effects (is a plus)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Can think conceptually about how to visually support a product or service in an original, imaginative, and attention-grabbing way
  • Provide portfolio of current graphic design work

Based on relevant market data and other factors, the anticipated rate for this role is $15.00/hour. We are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Our goal is to ensure that all teammates are compensated fairly and competitively based on their contributions to our organization.
