Roles & Responsibilities

  • Proven experience in pre-sales, customer success, and/or consulting for software vendors or large IT organizations with a value-based selling approach

  • Experience delivering customer demonstrations, PoCs, RFI/RFP responses, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (sales, product, engineering)

Requirements:

  • Partner with sales, other solution engineers/architects, and Revenue team members to drive revenue across enterprise opportunities
  • Lead discovery calls to uncover customer needs and define the problem to solve
  • Produce and deliver customer demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept activities
  • Contribute to RFI/RFP security questionnaire responses and share field insights with product management and engineering

As a Solution Engineer you will join Flexera’s talented, dynamic EMEA Pre-Sales organisation. You will partner with the Field Sales team and work with customers on identifying business issues Flexera can solve. The Solution Engineer is an integral part of the Flexera account team who can discuss the value and collaborate on revenue-generating strategies and opportunities.

You will lead the technical strategy to drive successful Proof of Value’s and implement best practices, ensuring smooth transitions from Sales to Customer Success. Additionally, you will actively participate in various projects aimed at enhancing the overall sales process.

Main Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales representatives, other solution engineers & architects, as well as other

  • Revenue team members to drive revenue for Flexera across Enterprise opportunities

  • Participate and lead discovery calls to uncover what the customer is looking to solve

  • Produce and deliver customer demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof of concept activities

  • Contribute to RFI/RFP & security questionnaire responses

  • Provide insight from the field back to product management and engineering

  • Contribute to best practices for POC processes, sales to CSM handoffs, and the development of successful customer roadmaps for success

Experience

You will come from a pre-sales, customer success, and/or consulting background most likely working for a software vendor, partner or software division of a large multinational IT company that has adopted insights or a value-based approach to selling. Your domain expertise will include some or all the following:

  • Data normalization for IT Asset Management

  • Software license optimization

  • Application lifecycle management

  • FinOps, Cloud Cost, Cloud Optimization or Cloud Management
