Responsibilities

  • Own the dealer relationship and optimize the assigned geography to drive growth, market share, sales, and loyalty, coaching dealers toward buy-in and coordinating with the extended field team
  • Lead the extended field team, coordinate strategies and priorities across dealers, and drive the sales pipeline management process with coaching, reviews, tracking, reporting, and follow-up; ensure accurate forecasting via regular QBRs and updates
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop targeted campaigns, product launches, and initiatives; plan and participate in farm shows, field days, and dealer meetings to increase brand visibility
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers across dealerships and internal stakeholders; monitor competitive activity and provide insights for product development; ensure compliance with policies and ethical standards

The Region Manager (RM) is a remote-based leadership role responsible for driving growth and market penetration within a specific region. Additionally, this role is responsible for providing both short-term operational initiatives and long-term strategic business plans for individual dealer targets within an assigned territory.  The Region Manager β€œowns” the overall relationship with the dealership and will be involved in any unresolved dealer/customer issues from any functional area of PTx which can be escalated to the RM to resolve.      

Further, the Region Manager leads the extended field team (all field facing positions) that call on these dealers and will lead to coordinate the overall strategies and priorities of field team members calling on a specific dealer. Ultimately, the Region Manager has the responsibility to optimize the assigned geography with all PTx dealers. 
 

  
Your Impact  

  • Responsible for dealer targets (i.e. sales, profit, market share, loyalty) within the assigned geography, and build solid relationships with the dealer through credibility and to lead dealers in a desired direction by coaching and eventual dealer buy-in. Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop targeted promotional campaigns, product launches, and marketing initiatives to increase brand visibility and drive regional sales   

  • Conduct regular QBRs, maintain frequent sales updates, and facilitate effective communication within the distribution network to enhance forecasting accuracy and ensure a proactive and collaborative approach to promote the sales performance with the assigned geography. Assist dealers with retail customer calls to enhance dealer/manufacturer profile and credibility, Assist dealers in closing deals with end-users.  

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, sales procedures, and ethical standards, fostering a culture of integrity, professionalism, and excellence within the sales team. Drive sales pipeline management process with dealer sales personnel (coach, review, track, report, follow-up). Plan, facilitate, and present at meetings and field days of 10 - 100 attendees throughout the year 

  • Plan, manage, and attend farm shows along with other marketing functions to build product and brand awareness. Review dealer target market opportunity metrics, provide feeds into dealer pipeline, and provide recommendations for new product development while monitoring and reporting on competitive activity 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with top decision makers, principals, sales staff, service managers, parts, financing staff, and key customers 

  
Your Experience and qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Agriculture or Business studies or other degree with agriculture experience. A deep understanding of the ag market and its dynamics. Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, with a proven track record of driving sales growth and effectively managing distributor relationships within the specified region.  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically using Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook in a current or previous position. Additionally, Salesforce experience preferred.  

  • The ability to create a trusted business relationship with assigned dealers, and act as a consultant or advisor to the dealers through developing a broad understanding of the dealer’s business to drive improvement.  

  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills include the ability to handle conflict and provide issue resolution through a strategic approach.   

  • Must be able to communicate clearly with all levels of management, employees, dealers, and end-users, and be highly articulated with strong communication skills. Working for an agricultural company, or experience working on a farm (Preferred)
