180 Recruitment Consultant (Fully Remote) – Delivery & Spec-Out Focus
Overview
We are seeking a proactive 180 Recruitment Consultant to join a fully remote team, supporting UK-based recruitment activity. This is not a passive resourcing role — you will be expected to create opportunities by taking candidates to market.
The role focuses on recruitment across:
Operational / Engineering roles (Engineers, Site Managers, General Foremen)
Commercial roles (Quantity Surveyors, Commercial Managers)
Health & Safety / HSEQ roles (HSE Advisors, Managers, HSQE Leads)
Key Responsibilities
Candidate Sourcing & Delivery
Headhunt and engage candidates across operational, commercial, and HSEQ roles
Conduct detailed qualification calls covering:
Project experience
Responsibilities and scope
Plant, packages, and project values
Reasons for moving
Manage candidates through interview and offer stages
Spec-Out Campaigns (Core Focus)
Identify “Most Placeable Candidates” (MPCs)
Build targeted lists of relevant UK contractors
Write clear, high-quality candidate summaries
Market candidates directly to hiring managers
Follow up consistently to convert interest into live opportunities
Market Mapping
Research and map UK-based companies across relevant sectors
Identify key decision-makers and hiring trends
Build structured outreach and target lists
Phone-Based Communication (Core to the Role)
Conduct structured qualification calls with candidates
Present candidates confidently to hiring managers over the phone
Follow up to generate feedback and opportunities
Build relationships through regular phone contact
Comfortable spending a significant portion of your day on the phone
Candidate Management & Control
Keep candidates engaged and informed throughout processes
Provide interview preparation and feedback
Manage expectations around roles, salaries, and opportunities
Pipeline & CRM Management
Track all outreach, spec activity, and pipelines within CRM
Maintain accurate and well-structured candidate data
Revisit and re-engage warm contacts
Commercial Awareness
Understand what makes a candidate placeable
Identify which companies are worth targeting
Contribute to campaign strategy and delivery decisions
Requirements
Essential
Strong communication skills, particularly on the phone
Recruitment Experience.
UK Recruitment experience desirable
Confident engaging UK-based professionals in a commercial environment
Proactive mindset — able to create opportunities, not wait for them
Highly organised and self-disciplined (essential for remote working)
Ability to work aligned to UK business hours
Desirable
Experience within civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure sectors
Sector experience is not essential — proactive, confident, phone-savvy individuals who are motivated to learn are valued
