Title: CPT-10801 Senior Bookkeeping Virtual Assistant (QuickBooks‑Focused)

Independent Contractor – Business Support/Senior to Advanced Level (Remote).

Overview

20four7VA is seeking offshore independent contractors to deliver remote services to clients worldwide, with a primary focus on developed markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Bookkeeping Virtual Assistant to support a growing bookkeeping business serving franchise clients. The business owner is a CPA and will provide direct training, oversight, and standardized processes. This role is intended to scale quickly as client volume increases.
The ideal candidate has strong QuickBooks experience, excellent attention to detail, and near‑native English fluency, and is comfortable participating in calls with U.S.-based clients when needed.

The objective of each engagement is to assist the client in improving business efficiency, enhancing service delivery, or supporting operational functions through high-quality, task-specific services rendered by a qualified contractor.

Scope of Services

Contractors will be required to provide services that align with the following client tasks:

Bookkeeping & Accounting Support

  • Perform day‑to‑day bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks Online
  • Manage multiple client accounts accurately and efficiently
  • Categorize transactions, reconcile accounts, and maintain clean books
  • Assist with month‑end close processes
  • Follow standardized bookkeeping workflows provided by the CPA
  • Maintain consistency across franchise client accounts

Client Account Management

  • Support the onboarding of new franchise clients
  • Handle recurring bookkeeping tasks across a growing client base
  • Track completion of client work (e.g., clients completed per day/week)
  • Communicate clearly on progress and task completion

Communication & Collaboration

  • Participate in internal calls with the CPA for training and clarification
  • Join client calls when appropriate, with clear and professional English communication
  • Provide written updates and status reports as requested
  • Coordinate closely with the account manager and assigned trainer during onboarding

Data Security & Confidentiality

  • Handle sensitive financial and client data with strict confidentiality
  • Follow security protocols related to password management and system access
  • Use approved password managers and security tools
  • Comply with any limitations on screen monitoring for bookkeeping work

Each engagement is based on a defined scope of work and is governed by an independent contractor agreement. Services must be performed professionally, with adherence to any timelines, guidelines, and deliverables agreed upon in writing.

  • Reliable internet connection and professional home office setup

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with multiple small businesses or franchise clients
  • Prior experience working with U.S.-based accounting firms
  • Strong documentation and process-following skills
  • Detail‑oriented and methodical work style
  • Female candidates preferred, though experience and quality are the priority

  • QuickBooks Online
  • Company email (domain-based)
  • Password management software (e.g., Keeper or equivalent)
  • Secure file-sharing platforms
  • Internal time-tracking system (with adjusted settings for bookkeeping)

Work Schedule

  • Contracted Hours per Week: 20 hours/week to start for the first month (Transition to 40 hours per week within 6–12 weeks)
  • Scheduled Working Days: Monday through Friday (unless otherwise mutually agreed in writing)
  • Daily Working Time: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Eastern Time (6:00 AM – 3:00 PM Pacific) with 1 hour lunch break

Note: The Company will make reasonable efforts to align the Assigned VA’s schedule with the Client’s preferred hours as set forth above. However, availability may vary based on time zones, capacity, and the contracted hours set in this SOW. Any changes must be mutually agreed to in writing through a revised SOW.

Terms of Engagement

  • Contractors will operate under a Master Services Agreement and a Statement of Work
  • This is not an offer of employment; contractors are not employees of 20four7VA or any client
  • All compensation is processed through 20four7VA according to the terms of the engagement
