Our client is seeking an experienced Medical Billing & AR Virtual Assistant to support billing operations for a comprehensive ophthalmology practice. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing insurance claims, denials, and Accounts Receivable (AR), with proficiency in Athena EMR/EHR.

Key Responsibilities

    • Handle insurance claims, denials, and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

    • Follow up on unpaid, rejected, or denied claims with insurance providers

    • Work within Athena EMR/EHR to manage billing activities and patient records

    • Maintain accurate billing documentation and ensure records are up to date

    • Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and reimbursement issues

      Requirements

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience handling insurance claims, denials, and AR within a comprehensive ophthalmology practice

    • Hands-on experience using Athena EMR/EHR
