Job Summary: The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for utilizing hands-on accounting experience, in-depth understanding of accounting principles, and company practices to perform complex accounting activities and financial analysis.  

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, coaching, and support to enhance team performance and productivity.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, identifying trends, variances and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist Director of Accounting in review and analysis of various Balance Sheet accounts and perform account reconciliations during month end and year-end closes.
  • Perform detailed review and analysis of payroll accounts as part of month-end close.
  • Demonstrate understanding and proficiency in revenue recognition principles and revenue integrity to support accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Work closely with the Director of Accounting to maintain and enhance the revenue and accounts receivable lookback analysis.
  • Provide input and oversight of critical accounting policies, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist the Director of Accounting with the annual financial statement audit, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of audit requirements and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with accounting for Acquisitions to ensure accurate reporting of revenue and expenses.
  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax fillings, as well as various other tax compliance requirements.
  • Prepare monthly and/or quarterly compliance reporting and aid in analysis if required
  • Engage in special projects or other duties assigned by the supervisor to support organizational goals and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or other relevant certifications preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a healthcare or related industry setting required.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across different levels of the organization.
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA & OSHA compliance

Compensation Range: $74,000 - $79,000
