Provide management with financial information and recommendations for decision-making; ensure costing statements and valuations are up to date.

Job description

Position: Management Accountant Senior Executive
Location: Kelaniya (On Site)
Work Hours: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Role Description
We are looking for a full-time, on-site Management Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling financial management tasks, creating financial reports, analyzing data, and providing insights to assist in business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring all accounting records comply with accepted standards.
Prepare monthly reporting packs and ensure financial practices comply with accounting policies.
Maintain relationships with the parent company in Australia.
Perform overhead control and variance analysis.
Provide management with required financial information and recommendations for decision-making.
Maintain the management accounting database to ensure accuracy and timely updates for financial reporting.
Prepare the annual budget and Long Range Plan (LRP) for the SBU, collaborating with internal teams.
Ensure costing statements and valuations are up to date.
Support annual audits and other financial reporting and compliance requirements.
Perform additional duties as requested by management.
Liaise and manage accounts for Artisans Madagascar SARL, working remotely with the Madagascar finance team.

Required Qualifications

Expertise in financial management, budgeting, and financial analysis.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g., ACA / CIMA UK) is required.

Key Skills - Must Have

Proficiency in English and Sinhala.
Ability to converse, understand, and maintain dialogue in English.
Experience in handling plant accountants and remote finance teams.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines (e.g., month-end).
