Roles & Responsibilities

  • Strong understanding of page design, file components, and the processes of creating a publication from concept to final output for print and digital formats

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent with a Vo-Tech/Technology degree in graphic arts, graphic design or printing/premedia, and at least 3 years of related work experience

  • Communicate with advertisers and internal teams to resolve questions or issues regarding print and digital edition media
  • Electronically transmit print and digital media files to contracted vendors using vendor online tools
  • Preflight and process supplied advertising materials and upload print media files to contracted vendors per publication schedules

Job Summary: The Premedia Technician is responsible for setting the foundation for successful print and digital edition creation and ensure that the proper format, appearance and layout of text and images meets specification's for advertising, printing and digital formats.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Responsible for preparing, analyzing and problem solving print and digital media utilizing design and premedia based tools and applications.
  • Responsible for communicating with advertiser's and internal teams with questions or problems regarding print and digital edition media.
  • Responsible for electronically transmitting print and digital media files to contracted vendors utilizing vendors online tools.

Knowledge/Skill/Ability:

  • Experience in desktop publishing applications such as: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat and related premedia software.
  • An understanding of page design and file components, and the processes of creating a publication from concept to final output.
  • Experience with Macintosh and Windows operating systems.
  • Exhibit attention to detail under tight deadlines and have good organizational skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft apps and cloud based file storage and servers.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with various external and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated talent as a digital file troubleshooter, including an understanding of the need to balance function and visual appearance to deliver a successful product.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a premedia field that includes print, digital files.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and a Vo-Tech or Technology degree in graphic arts, graphic design or printing/premedia.
  • 3 years work related experience.
  • Ideal candidate will have Associate or Bachelor's degree in graphic arts and design with strong emphasis in print and premedia.

Special Job Dimensions:

  • Preflight and processing of supplied advertising materials.
  • Preflight and uploading of print media files to contracted vendors per publication schedules.
  • Producing the digital version of publications.

We are excited to share the salary range for this position is $45,000-$55,000. If you are hired for this position at EndeavorB2B, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as hiring location, skillset, prior years’ experience, relevant education, certain degrees and certifications, training, and market considerations. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider any internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.
