  • 6+ months experience leading others (formal or informal) and contributing to a team’s operating rhythm and outcomes.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% throughout the EMEA region to meet with customers (occasional travel beyond, e.g., USA).
  • Fluent in English with business proficiency in French.

Requirements:

  • Lead, develop, and scale Enterprise Field Services across South EMEA; partner with strategic customers on complex, mission-critical transformation initiatives; align with the regional sales director to coordinate joint initiatives.
  • Serve as a senior technical and business advisor to enterprise customers, regularly engaging with executive and C-level stakeholders and translating strategic needs into actionable insights; coach team members and manage escalations.
  • Oversee the team's strategic analysis of enterprise customer environments to identify gaps and opportunities where GitHub solutions can provide value at scale; drive resolution of blockers related to security, compliance, architecture, and operational readiness for deployments.
  • Ensure structured enablement and adoption strategies to support enterprise-wide rollout and long-term value realization; collaborate with Enterprise Sales to guide solution strategy, support complex deal cycles, and develop content for marketing events; foster multi-threaded relationships across accounts.

Overview:

GitHub is growing its Customer Engineering team andwe'reseeking experienced professionals to elevate our technical customer engagement efforts and grow our EMEA Enterprise Organisation, with a focus on new business as well as strengthening relationships.   
 
In this role, you will lead, develop, and scale an Enterprise Field Services organization across South EMEA , partnering with strategic customers on complex, mission critical transformation initiatives. You will also collaborate closely with the regional sales director to ensure strategic alignment and coordinated execution of joint initiatives. You will act as a senior leader and coach, shaping technical strategy, influencing executive stakeholders, and ensuring consistent value delivery across large, multi-country Enterprise accounts. If you thrive operating at the intersection of technology leadership, customer impact, and organizational scale, this role offers the opportunity to drive meaningful outcomes for both customers and GitHub. 

Responsibilities:

Enterprise Customer & Industry Leadership  

  • Manages a team of individual contributors, guiding them to analyze enterprise customer business priorities, recognize industry patterns, and assess local market conditions in order to help shape long-term technology strategies.  

  • Provides direction to the team to connect GitHub solutions with major digital and AI transformation projects, navigate complex governance structures, and support multi-year enterprise plans.  

  • Helps the team to align and influence business partners and customer stakeholders to target a technical win and to drive solution selection.  

Executive Trusted Advisor  

  • Serves as a senior technical and business advisor to enterprise customers, regularly engaging with executive and C-level stakeholders on behalf of the individual contributor team.  

  • Coaches the team to advocate for enterprise customers, translating their strategic needs into actionable insights for internal GitHub teams.  

  • Handles escalation of complex, high-impact customer issues to senior internal leaders, ensuring timely resolution for concerns raised by the team.  

Technology Strategy & Transformation  

  • Oversees the team's strategic analysis of enterprise customer environments, helping identify gaps and opportunities where GitHub solutions can provide unique value at scale.  

  • Leads the team’s efforts to resolve blockers related to security, compliance, architecture, and operational readiness for enterprise deployments.  

Enterprise Enablement & Adoption  

  • Ensures the team follows structured enablement and adoption strategies to support enterprise-wide rollout and long-term value realization.  

Strategic Sales Partnership  

  • Collaborates with Enterprise Sales leadership to guide the team in influencing solution strategy, supporting complex deal cycles, and achieving technical wins.  

  • Coaches the individual contributors to build strong, multi-threaded relationships across enterprise customer organizations.  

  • Facilitates the utilization of global teams to gather information, collaborate on performance markers, and identify potential risks in customer accounts. 

  • Helps develop content for marketing events. 

People & Organizational Leadership  

  • Leads a team of individual contributors, focusing on their talent development, success planning, and performance management within the Enterprise segment.  

  • Coaches team members to act as a liaison for customers. 

  • Supports team members' pre-sales activities with large customers. 
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 5+ years experience in technical consulting, technical consultative selling, or related technical/sales/industry experience 

    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 3+ years experience in technical consulting, technical consultative selling, or related technical/sales/industry experience 

    • OR Doctorate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in technical consulting, technical consultative selling, or related technical/sales/industry experience 

    • OR equivalent experience. 

  •  6+ months experience leading others, formally or informally (e.g., coordinating work of others, providing guidance or mentorship, and contributing to a team’s operating rhythm and outcomes).
  • Ability to travel up to 30% throughout the EMEA region to meet with customers, with occasional travel beyond this (e.g. USA) for company events.  
  • Fluent in English with business proficiency in French.
     

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with DevOps and the Software Development Lifecycle; understanding of Application Security, AI tools, and CI/CD.
