  • Ability to develop long-term sales strategy and execute at the ground level with retailers, brokers, and distributors.

Requirements:

  • Own national sales strategy and revenue growth across national retail, regional grocery, specialty stores, DSD, and strategic partnerships.
  • Build and lead a high-performance sales organization, including National Account Managers, Regional Directors, distributor/DSD teams, and field sales/merchandising.
  • Expand retail distribution with major national retailers, negotiate national contracts, secure premium shelf placement, and execute impactful retail programs.
  • Drive sales forecasting, trade spend management, pricing strategies, and collaborate with marketing to maximize sell-through and in-store visibility.

Are you a strategic sales leader with a builder’s mindset and a track record of scaling CPG brands through national retail? Do you know how to unlock distribution at scale, manage major retail partnerships, and build a sales machine that drives both velocity and brand equity?


We are looking for a Chief Sales Officer who combines vision with execution — someone who understands that hydration is life and knows how to bring that mission to millions of consumers through world-class retail execution. What You’ll Do

Own National Sales Strategy

  • Develop and execute the overarching sales strategy, driving revenue growth
    across national retail, regional grocery, specialty retail, DSD distribution, and strategic partnerships.

  • Build and Lead the Sales Organization

  • Recruit, mentor, and scale a high-performance sales team including:

    • National Account Managers

    • Regional Sales Directors

    • Distributor / DSD management

    • Field sales and merchandising teams

  • Establish a culture of accountability, ownership, and high performance.

Expand Retail Distribution

  • Drive strategic expansion across major retailers including:

    • Walmart, Target, Walgreens, Kroger, CVS, Costco, Amazon

    • Emerging national and regional accounts

  • Negotiate national contracts, secure premium shelf placement, and execute high-impact retail programs.

  • Drive Velocity and Retail Performance

  • Work closely with marketing, shopper marketing, and trade marketing to maximize sell-through, promotional effectiveness, and in-store visibility.

  • Manage Strategic Retail Partnerships

  • Serve as the executive relationship owner for key retail partners, distributors, and broker networks.

Own Sales Forecasting & Revenue Growth

  • Develop accurate forecasting models and sales plans that support company growth targets.

  • Manage trade spend, retail pricing strategies, and promotional planning to maximize profitability and velocity.

  • Identify New Channels & Market Opportunities

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven CPG Sales Leader

  • 10+ years of CPG sales leadership experience, with a strong preference for beverage, hydration, or functional nutrition categories.

  • Retail Expansion Expertise

  • Deep experience working with major national retailers including Walmart, Target, Kroger, Costco, Walgreens, and similar accounts.

  • Existing buyer relationships strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated track record scaling emerging brands from $10M to $100M+ revenue through retail expansion and velocity growth

  • Able to develop long-term strategy while executing at the ground level with retailers, brokers, and distributors
