Requirements
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead IDMC Developer to drive the design, development, and optimization of enterprise data integration and management solutions within our energy organization. This role will play a critical part in modernizing our data landscape, enabling advanced analytics, and supporting key operational and regulatory initiatives.
The ideal candidate is both a hands-on expert in the Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) suite and a strong collaborator who can lead development efforts, guide junior engineers, and partner with cross‑functional teams across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Solution Design
- Lead the end-to-end design, architecture, and implementation of IDMC-based data solutions.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performance data integration workflows.
- Establish and promote best practices for IDMC development, data quality, metadata management, and data governance.
Development & Implementation
- Develop data pipelines using IDMC services including Cloud Data Integration (CDI), Cloud Application Integration (CAI), Data Quality (DQ), and API Manager.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for large-scale, real-time, and batch data processing.
- Integrate data from diverse energy-sector sources (SCADA, IoT sensors, ERP systems, market data, etc.).
- Implement and automate data quality, profiling, and cleansing rules.
Data Management & Governance
- Support enterprise data governance standards, security models, and data lineage requirements.
- Ensure solutions adhere to industry regulations and internal compliance policies (e.g., emissions reporting, grid reliability standards).
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with Data Architects, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and SMEs across generation, trading, grid operations, and customer operations.
- Mentor junior developers and support a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance on IDMC capabilities, roadmap, and integration patterns.
Operational Support
- Monitor and optimize performance of production pipelines.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and support end-to-end release management.
- Evaluate new IDMC features and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in data integration development, with at least 3+ years focused on Informatica Cloud / IDMC.
- Expertise in:
- Informatica Cloud Data Integration (IICS/CDI)
- Cloud Application Integration (CAI)
- Data Quality (IDQ or Cloud DQ)
- REST/SOAP APIs and API development
- Strong SQL proficiency and experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Redshift, BigQuery).
- Deep understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data modeling, and data lifecycle management.
- Experience integrating data across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the energy industry, particularly with operational, asset, or market data.
- Familiarity with SCADA, IoT/OT systems, ETRM platforms, or utility billing systems.
- Prior experience leading development teams or large-scale data integration projects.
- Certifications in Informatica IDMC or related cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD, Git, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
