  • Manage payroll changes such as new hires, terminations, and employee modifications promptly and accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, including tax filings and wage reporting.
  • Prepare payroll reports and summaries for management review, including tax liabilities and financial impact.

Job description

Position: Payroll Administrator

Working Hours: US Hours (9am-5pm EST)

Full-Time, Remote Work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and process the complete payroll cycle for employees, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Manage payroll changes such as new hires, terminations, and employee modifications promptly and accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, including tax filings and wage reporting.
  • Prepare payroll reports and summaries for management review, including tax liabilities and financial impact.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and time-off policies, addressing issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with HR to maintain accurate employee records and support new employee onboarding processes.
  • Assist with annual audits and preparations for fiscal year-end reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in payroll administration or related HR roles.
  • Proficient in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of payroll practices, federal and state employment regulations.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive employee information confidentially.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
