Role: IT Database Administrator III
Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)
Contract Duration: Long Term Contract
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)
Location: 100% Remote (Candidates can work from anywhere in LATAM Countries)
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive support for Oracle EBS , ensuring smooth operation and maintenance.
• Oversee core Oracle Database administration, including hands-on management of Oracle 19c environments.
• Execute migrations to RDS in the AWS cloud platform, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
• Tune optimizer parameters during transitions from Oracle 11g to 19c and conduct in-depth Oracle SQL tuning.
• Upgrade and patch EBS 11i, R12.2 systems, including identifying and resolving violations.
• Perform administrative tasks on Linux RedHat systems related to Oracle environments.
• Develop and implement high availability (HA) architecture to ensure continuous system operations.
• Configure and manage EBS R12.2 Single Sign-On (SSO) setups.
• Backup and restore databases.
• Ensure database performance, availability, and security.
Required Skills and Experience (6-8 years):
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience with core Oracle Database administration and EBS support.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Database 11g, 12c, 19c, including performance tuning and SQL optimization.
• Background in migrating databases to RDS within the AWS cloud platform.
• Expertise in upgrading and patching Oracle EBS systems and managing related violations.
• Proficiency in Linux RedHat administration, with the ability to navigate and perform system tasks.
• Familiarity with tuning optimizer parameters from Oracle 11g to 19c.
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment, communicate effectively, and collaborate across departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Middleware experience with SOA and WebLogic is considered a strong plus.
• Knowledge of other database systems such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL, and MySQL is advantageous.
• Exposure to Oracle in OCI cloud environments is beneficial, though not mandatory.
• A strong automation mindset in cloud-based environments, with experience in developing and maintaining HA architectures.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
