Requirements:

  • Identity and access administration including Active Directory and Entra ID lifecycles, hybrid identity, Group Policy, MFA resolution, RBAC enforcement, and Conditional Access support
  • Endpoint device management with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot provisioning, device compliance monitoring, patch coordination, and encryption policy validation
  • Server and platform operations covering Windows Server (2016-2022), DNS/DHCP management, file shares and NTFS permissions troubleshooting, VMware vSphere provisioning, backups monitoring, and resource troubleshooting
  • Networking and security platform support, including L1/L2 support for Fortinet (FortiGate/Switch/AP) and Cisco infrastructure, ISP circuit outage management, VPN connectivity troubleshooting (Zscaler, FortiClient, and site-to-site), and firewall validation

Role: Systems Administrator (L2/L3) – Infrastructure Operations
Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)
Contract Duration: 6-months+
Work Hours: Overlap with CST
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)
Location: 100% Remote (Candidates can work from anywhere in India)

Role Summary

We are seeking two experienced Systems Administrators to support enterprise infrastructure operations during U.S. business hours. This role is execution-focused and responsible for day-to-day administration, troubleshooting, patching, monitoring, and operational support across identity, endpoint, virtualization, and security platforms.

This position supports a U.S.-based IT Operations team and must demonstrate strong documentation discipline, security awareness, and escalation judgment.

Core Responsibilities

Identity & Access Administration

  • Active Directory user and group lifecycle management
  • Entra ID (Azure AD) user administration
  • Hybrid identity troubleshooting (AD Connect)
  • Group Policy creation and troubleshooting
  • Conditional Access support
  • MFA issue resolution
  • BitLocker recovery key management
  • Role-based access control (RBAC) enforcement

Endpoint & Device Management

  • Microsoft Intune administration
  • Autopilot enrollment & provisioning support
  • Device compliance monitoring
  • Endpoint troubleshooting
  • Patch coordination & verification
  • Encryption policy validation

Server & Platform Operations

  • Windows Server administration (2016–2022)
  • DNS & DHCP management
  • File share & NTFS permissions troubleshooting
  • Certificate support
  • VMware vSphere VM provisioning & maintenance
  • Snapshot management
  • Resource troubleshooting
  • Backup job monitoring & failure remediation

Networking Support

  • VLAN troubleshooting
  • Switch port diagnostics
  • Firewall rule validation (in coordination with network team)
  • Wireless SSID/user issue resolution
  • Basic packet flow understanding
  • Provide L1/L2 support for Fortinet (FortiGate/Switch/AP) and Cisco infrastructure
  • Manage ISP circuit outages, including ticket opening and vendor follow-up
  • Troubleshoot VPN connectivity (Zscaler, FortiClient, and Site-to-Site tunnels)
  • Hands-on experience with FortiOS or Cisco interface

Security Platform Support

  • Tanium agent health validation & query execution
  • Patch module support
  • Zscaler user authentication & policy troubleshooting
  • Endpoint encryption verification
  • Support vulnerability remediation efforts

ITSM & Operational Discipline

  • FreshService ticket ownership (incident, change, problem)
  • Change documentation & validation
  • Root cause summaries
  • Knowledge base updates
  • SOP maintenance
  • Escalation when appropriate (no silent failures)

Required Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years Systems Administration experience
  • Strong Active Directory & Group Policy expertise
  • Experience with Intune and modern endpoint management
  • VMware administration experience
  • Windows Server administration
  • Working knowledge of Tanium and/or similar endpoint management platform
  • Working knowledge of Zscaler or similar secure web gateway
  • Intermediate PowerShell scripting
  • ITIL familiarity
  • Strong written English communication skills

  • Exposure to vulnerability management remediation
  • Experience working within structured change management processes
  • Experience in security-conscious environments
