Job description

Title: Workday Extend Developer, HCM Integration
Location : 100% Remote
Target Start Date : ASAP
Type: contract
Pay Rate: DOE

We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Extend Developer to design, build, and implement custom applications and integrations within the Workday ecosystem. This role will focus on delivering scalable, high-quality solutions across HCM functional areas while partnering closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Workday Extend and integrations, along with a strong understanding of HCM processes and a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement Workday Extend applications and integrations within the HCM domain
Translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical solutions, partnering closely with analysts and stakeholders
Define and contribute to architectural approaches for Workday Extend builds and integration patterns
Participate in architecture reviews and design discussions, providing technical guidance and best practices
Build and maintain integrations using Workday Studio and APIs to support data exchange and system interoperability
Ensure solutions are optimized for performance, scalability, and maintainability
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing ongoing support and enhancements

Required Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on Workday development experience
Advanced expertise in Workday Extend, including custom application development and API integrations
Strong experience developing integrations using Workday Studio
Solid understanding of HCM functional areas (e.g., Core HCM, Talent, Recruiting, Performance Management)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound technical judgment
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams

Workday Integrations Certification
Experience across multiple HCM functional areas
Familiarity with recruiting platforms, talent management systems, or related HR technologies
