WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Quality Assurance Engineer at TRACTIAN, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and functionality of our web and mobile applications. Your responsibilities will involve developing and implementing comprehensive test plans, validating interfaces across web and mobile platforms, and identifying potential issues across a wide range of devices and operating systems. Working closely with development and design teams, you will contribute to delivering a seamless and user-centric experience that aligns with TRACTIAN's standards of excellence on both web and mobile platforms.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with development teams to understand the architecture and ensure testability of our apps.
Design, implement, and maintain robust automated test suites for web, mobile, and API layers.
Utilize modern testing frameworks and tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Maestro, Appium, Espresso, and XCUITest to ensure quality and reliability.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous delivery with confidence.
Develop scalable test strategies, focusing on automation coverage rather than manual execution.
Conduct regression testing primarily through automation, with occasional manual validations when necessary. Identify, document, and track defects effectively, ensuring high visibility and fast feedback to the development team.
Continuously improve test frameworks, practices, and internal QA automation processes.
Requirements
3+ years of hands-on experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or Software Developer in Test (SDET), focused on automation.
Strong proficiency in creating and maintaining automated tests for web, mobile, and APIs using tools like Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Maestro, Espresso, XCUITest, Rest Assured, or Robot Framework.
Experience with native mobile test automation for Android (Espresso) and/or iOS (XCUITest).
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).
Proficiency in learning and adapting to new tools and automation methodologies, thriving in a fast-paced environment. Solid programming skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, Kotlin, Swift, or similar, with an ability to design maintainable test code.
Experience with contract testing (e.g., Pact) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex automation failures.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of monitoring systems, data visualization, IoT, and previous developer experience are nice-to-haves.
