Requirements:

  • Re-engagement: outreach to dormant customers in a 7,000+ contact database via email, phone, and SMS; review history and identify upsell opportunities; schedule consultations and document interactions in HubSpot
  • Inside sales operations: answer inbound calls, create contacts in HubSpot, generate/manage deals, and schedule logistics for field teams; collaborate with outside sales and follow up post-appointment to address questions and objections; adjust pricing quotes using the quoting tool
  • Pipeline management: document all interactions, use CSM Audit View to prioritize follow-ups, and forecast the sales pipeline
  • After-hours and weekend coverage: provide after-hours phone coverage (5:00 PM - 7:30 PM PST) with AI handling calls after 7:30 PM, plus occasional weekend coverage during peak seasons

Job Title: Sales Development Representative

Employment Type: Independent Contractor

Compensation: $1,700/month + Sales Commission

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9AM - 5PM PST

About Us

We're a growing roofing and home services company specializing in roofing, gutters, insulation, gutter protection, and repairs. We're scaling our sales operations and looking for talented individuals to help us reach 120-200 qualified leads per month.

Role Overview

We're seeking an experienced Inside Sales Representative to join our growing sales team. This role combines customer re-engagement outreach with core inside sales responsibilities, managing incoming leads and driving deal closure through strategic follow-up and relationship management.

Primary Responsibilities

Re-engagement Project (Initial Focus):

  • Conduct outreach to dormant customers in our 7,000+ contact database using email, phone, and SMS

  • Review customer history via Company Cam photos and service documentation

  • Identify upsell opportunities based on previous service dates and customer needs

  • Build compelling narratives around service anniversaries and roof health checks

  • Schedule consultations and document customer interactions in HubSpot

Inside Sales Operations:

  • Answer incoming customer phone calls and create new contacts in HubSpot

  • Generate and manage sales deals, creating logistics appointments for field teams

  • Collaborate with outside sales representatives to gather customer insights and objection details

  • Follow up with customers post-appointment to address questions and overcome objections

  • Adjust and present pricing quotes using our quoting tool based on customer sensitivity

  • Document all customer interactions, timelines, and decision-making criteria in HubSpot

  • Use the CSM Audit View to prioritize follow-ups and forecast sales pipeline

  • Provide after-hours phone coverage (5:00 PM - 7:30 PM PST), with AI handling calls after 7:30 PM

  • Manage occasional weekend coverage during peak seasons

Required Qualifications

  • Sales Experience: Proven track record in B2B or B2C sales, SDR, or customer support-to-sales transition

  • System Knowledge: Proficiency with HubSpot CRM (or quick ability to learn)

  • Communication Skills: Fluent English with excellent phone and written communication abilities

  • Technical Literacy: Comfortable with VoIP systems, AI tools, and SaaS platforms

  • Time Zone: PST availability with flexibility for extended hours (5:00 PM - 7:30 PM PST minimum)

  • Reliability: Stable internet connection and professional home office setup

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms

  • AI literacy and comfort leveraging AI tools to enhance sales processes

  • Background in home services, roofing, or B2B sales

  • Bilingual capabilities

  • Experience with quoting and negotiation processes
