Our client is a growing company operating across e-commerce and subscription channels, currently preparing for an upcoming fundraising round while strengthening its internal financial operations. They are seeking a finance professional who can bridge analytical reporting and accounting accuracy, supporting leadership with reliable financial insights while helping build stronger reporting infrastructure during a critical stage of growth.
Fully Remote | 9 AM - 5 PM EST
The Finance Analyst will serve as the analytical bridge between the CFO and accounting clerk, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, reviewing accounting outputs, and translating financial data into actionable insights. This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on reporting, dashboard management, financial analysis, and support for budgeting and fundraising preparation.
Act as the intermediary between the CFO and accounting clerk by reviewing general ledger postings, identifying errors, and resolving unclear entries.
Perform first-pass month-end close reviews to ensure posting accuracy across all accounts.
Reconcile inventory entries imported into QuickBooks against manual inventory counts.
Coordinate with external CPA partners as needed.
Maintain and improve financial dashboards, including the transition from spreadsheets to Power BI.
Analyze revenue, margins, operating expenses, and unit economics, summarizing findings for the CFO.
Pull and interpret reports from Shopify to support financial analysis.
Monitor subscription metrics as new subscription products launch.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling activities.
Prepare investor-facing financial reporting in advance of fundraising initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in FP&A, accounting, or related finance roles.
Experience using QuickBooks.
Experience in CPG, e-commerce, DTC, or subscription-based businesses strongly preferred.
Prior experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
Familiarity with fundraising processes and investor reporting is a plus.
Strong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills, including financial modeling capability.
Exposure to Power BI or similar dashboard tools.
Strong analytical ability with high attention to detail in reviewing financial outputs.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal oversight in a remote environment.
Comfort interpreting accounting data and communicating findings clearly to leadership.
