Roles & Responsibilities

Bachelor's degree in Physics or Engineering; MS degree preferred.
3+ years of experience in Failure Analysis or Reliability Engineering in electronics/semiconductor industry.
Proficiency with semiconductor failure analysis techniques (cross-sectioning, decapsulation, optical microscopy, x-ray imaging, etc.) and strong understanding of analog/digital electronics, protection devices, and discrete semiconductors.
Excellent communication skills; ability to work independently or in a fast-paced team; computer-literate and proficient with Microsoft Office; experience setting up analytical lab equipment.

Requirements:

Support the operation of the Philippines PE Lab through product failure analysis, materials analysis, reverse engineering, and related activities; provide analysis support to Lab customers such as Operations, Product Development, Sales, and Marketing.
Communicate request status and results via the Engineering Test Request System, Reliability Test Database, caWeb, and direct contact; generate reports on failure and materials analyses.
Prepare test schedules for other engineers and technicians and manage workflow, providing guidance as needed.
Identify and recommend analytical equipment, test tools, and procedures to the Lab Manager; perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Failure Analysis Engineer

Support the operation of the Philippines PE Lab through product failure analysis, materials analysis, reverse engineering and other related activities. Provide product analysis support to Lab customers such as Operations, Product Development, Sales, and Marketing.

About the job:

Provide excellent service to all customers of the lab, internal and external.
Work with requestors and management to complete requests for failure analysis, materials analysis, reverse engineering, and all other related activities.
Communicate request status and results through updates in the Engineering Test Request System, Reliability Test Database, caWeb, and direct contact.
Generate reports related to product failure analysis, materials analysis and the like.
Prepare test schedules for other Engineers and technicians and manage workflow, providing assistance/guidance as needed with clear instructions.
Identify and recommend analytical equipment, test equipment, new tools, and procedures to the Lab Manager.
Perform other duties that may arise in the course of employment as designated by the supervisor or manager.

About you:

Bachelor’s Degree in Physics or Engineering. M.S. degree is an advantage
3+ years of work experience in Failure Analysis or Reliability Engineering in electronics and/or semiconductor industry
Well-versed with semiconductor product failure analysis techniques such as cross-sectioning, decapsulation, optical microscopy, x-ray imaging, and others.
Solid understanding of analog/digital electronics, protection devices, and discrete semiconductors.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to operate well independently or as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
Must be computer-literate. Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
Work experience in setting up analytical equipment in a lab environment.
