Requirements:

  • Content Scheduling Management: schedule content across Facebook (Meta Business Suite), Pinterest, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube; maintain a consistent posting calendar; ensure timely, accurate delivery of scheduled content.
  • Writing and Copy Editing: write and edit blog posts, email newsletters, YouTube scripts, and social captions; repurpose content across platforms while maintaining brand voice; use AI tools to support creation, revising outputs to meet editorial and SEO standards.
  • Content Optimization and SEO: update existing blog content for current SEO practices; format new recipe posts, strengthen internal linking, conduct light keyword research, and apply findings to content creation.
  • Process Execution and Team Collaboration: follow SOPs and checklists; collaborate on weekly/monthly planning; participate in onboarding and adapt to evolving workflows; track post performance using Google Analytics and platform insights to inform optimization.

Job description

This role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Please note that as this role supports U.S.-based clients, candidates must be available to work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone.


Our client is a well-established food blog with a loyal readership and a library of over 800 approachable recipes made with everyday ingredients. The site serves as a trusted resource for home cooks seeking simple, thoughtful, and reliable meal inspiration. With a strong focus on quality content and reader experience, the brand blends creativity with structure to consistently deliver engaging blog posts, newsletters, and social media content that resonate with its audience.

Fully Remote | Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

Role Overview

The Marketing & Copywriting Assistant will support day-to-day content operations, including writing, content optimization, newsletter support, and social media scheduling. This role requires strong writing skills, a foundational understanding of SEO, and the ability to use AI tools to support, without replacing, the creative process. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing structure with creativity in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Content Scheduling & Management

  • Schedule content across major platforms, including Facebook (via Meta Business Suite), Pinterest, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.

  • Use scheduling tools to prepare and organize upcoming posts to support engagement and community-building efforts.

  • Maintain a consistent posting calendar and ensure timely, accurate delivery of scheduled content.

Writing & Copy Editing

  • Write and edit short- and long-form content, including blog posts, email newsletters, YouTube video scripts, and social media captions.

  • Repurpose content across platforms while maintaining clear messaging aligned with the brand voice and tailored to readers.

  • Use AI tools such as ChatGPT and Gemini to support content creation, thoughtfully revising outputs to meet editorial and SEO standards.

  • Apply basic SEO principles, including keyword usage, headers, and meta descriptions, while maintaining a reader-focused approach.

Content Optimization & SEO

  • Update existing blog content according to current SEO best practices, improving readability, formatting, and keyword alignment.

  • Assist in formatting new recipe posts, strengthening internal linking, and identifying opportunities to expand content based on reader interest or seasonal trends.

  • Conduct light keyword research and apply findings to ongoing SEO initiatives and new content creation.

Process Execution & Team Collaboration

  • Follow detailed checklists and SOPs to ensure consistency and quality across all content.

  • Collaborate on weekly and monthly priorities, including YouTube planning, content scheduling, and campaign execution.

  • Participate in training and onboarding while remaining flexible to evolving workflows and strategy adjustments.

  • Occasionally, track post performance using Google Analytics and platform insights to inform future optimization efforts.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, copywriting, or content creation for blogs, newsletters, or social media.

  • Experience with Meta Business Suite (required).

  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices and Google Analytics.

  • Experience with Trello or similar project management tools preferred.

Skills

  • Native-level English proficiency with a warm, clear, and reader-focused writing style.

  • Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals, including keyword integration and content formatting.

  • Comfortable integrating AI writing tools into workflows without overreliance.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to consistently follow checklists while managing multiple tasks.

  • Fast learner who adapts well to shifting priorities and evolving processes.

  • Collaborative yet capable of working independently and maintaining clear communication.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain consistent publishing schedules.

  • Interest in cooking, home cooking culture, or Mediterranean-style cuisine highly desirable.

  • Social media content and weekly newsletters are consistently prepared and scheduled on time.

  • Blog posts and recipes are updated and optimized according to SEO and reader experience standards.
